Aloha Jo….I’m glad you enjoyed it. It was a great day and I got some beautiful orchids. Unfortunately, mostly all of the twisted ones I really liked were not available 😞. I think only 2 out of the 13 that I took home were the twisted type. I have a few from previous hauls and the flowers seem to last awhile. I seen a really beautiful one on RUclips, I believe it was from Krull Smith and Nature Nel purchased a seedling of it. They do ship to Hawaii but a special certificate is required and it would just be too pricey. You guys have some really amazing nurseries in Florida, so lucky! Mahalo for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 .
Hi Kelly. Thank you for tour, especially the ride along the amazing majestic mountains. Reminds me of Florida. Lol. ( We're as flat as a board.) The nursery has some very beautiful dendrobiums. I love those antelope type, which have become very popular lately. One dendrobium I really loved was the orange one with a red lip. But, it was like a flash or a quick drive by in the video. I believe it was at 15:35. On my way to check out the haul.

My brother is a truck driver so while he was there making a delivery I asked him to buy some shirts for me, actually I asked him to stop at some orchid nurseries but that was not gonna happen 🤦♀️. He does not share my passion (obsession) for orchids unfortunately. Hopefully one day I’ll make it there to see them for myself because you guys have some amazing ones. I looked back at my video and found the dendrobium you mentioned, I can try to ask the nursery for the ID if you’re interested? Btw how’s your project coming along? I’m really looking forward to seeing what you’ve created. I also have a little project that I’m working on that I’ll be sharing shorty.

The lady I spoke to said it was grown from a seed. Here’s the name that she told me, Johnsoniae X Atroviolaceum X D “somsak” X “Mary mak” X Thongchai
Love the tropics and orchids nice nursery, for the most part my orchid hunting is on e-bay or the local Lowes, Home Depot, or grocery stores but I have managed to get some beautiful orchids here in Connecticut

Okay now I have to visit Hawaii. I loooooove mountain landscape. You throw in Jurassic Park and I’m SOLD! Some of the landscape reminded me of Saint Croix when my dad lived there for several years. I loved vacationing there. When you visited the first nursery I felt like you were in Miami. If only Hawaii was closer😢 The diverse choices of Dendrobiums is insane. I’m like “I want that one! And that one too”!
Lol! I feel the same way when I watch your videos. You guys have the most amazing nurseries there and the variety of orchids is incredible! I need to visit Florida and you should definitely come to Hawaii! The great thing about Hawaii is that you’re able to island hop. All of the islands are just a short plane ride away, in fact the closet to Oahu which is Kauai takes only about 20 minutes. Since you love mountain landscapes, you HAvE to go to Kauai and visit Waimea Canyon, it’s described as “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific”! It’s absolutely breathtaking! Each island is unique and has something different to offer. The Hilo orchid society is hosting an orchid show this month on the 29, 30 & 31. It’s supposed to be the biggest in Hawaii, and since I haven’t been to any orchid shows yet, I’m strongly considering attending. Carmela orchids will be there, along with many others. You should come! 😂 Hilo is located on what’s known as the “Big Island”, and the plane ride takes about an hour from Oahu. I’m born and raised on Oahu and I’ve never been to the Big Island so it’ll be a new experience for me. If I do go, I’ll definitely be taking as much videos as I can to share the experience with everyone. I’m glad you enjoyed my video and the scenery, I cut a lot of it out so that it wouldn’t be too long.
