Dear Mr. Tokunaga, I would like to thank you for the most informative presentation, I really enjoyed listening to your expertise and learning a lot. I am a hobbyist and live in Toronto, Canada and I can only dream of having the most beautiful orchids like you are growing in Hawaii because of our climate. Several years ago I visited your nursery and I’m still amazed and taking about it. I still remember the most beautiful Cattleya Amethystoglosa I saw in GH ad still wish I can order some. Thank you, thank you for making the world a better place to live. We are visiting Oahu in December and I would love to visit your nursery again. Sincerely, Vicky Stojmenov

Hi Kelly! This was sooooooo good! I loved everything he said. So true all about the water quality. Rain is the best water for orchids. I believe that’s a huge part of my success Ian growing orchids in South Florida. Lots of rain and humidity. Although too much rain is terrible for your orchids due to fungus. It the water itself is perfect. Collecting rain water is a great idea for orchids that are indoors or inside greenhouses. Great show! Thank you for holding that camera up for one hour. You’re a trooper for your viewers. 😊

I have the Rustic Spots orchid from Akatsuka, but I guess it's originally from H&R? Alot of my cattleyas have Brassovola Nodosa in their parentage.
The tap water here in Connecticut after using a Brita water filter is 90ppm. I want to start collecting rain water, but I'm worried about bugs and bacteria. Bottled water might be too expensive, but I watered some of my orchids with organic coconut water a couple of weeks ago. 😆 I could probably flush the pot with bottled water once a month though. 🤔
I always see the Roy Tokunaga Dendrobium on Nelson's channel when he goes to orchid shows.
52:55 Interesting way to keep the flowers by cutting the cane, but the audience was like 😱🫣

Hello there from Japan!😊🤲💖I enjoyed watching. I have been adding white vinegar to my water for 2 years now to keep the ph at 5. This keeps roots and medium healthy as in nature.

It wasn’t as clear as I would have liked but I did up the volume a little when I was editing. Im glad you were able to get some information out of it though. I really enjoyed listening to him. Thanks for sharing, very informative. When my plants get rainwater they do so much better. Unfortunately, it doesn’t rain here for months.
Glad to hear the confirmation re light fertilizing. I have been fertilizing 1/2 strength for over a year now and I can see the difference.
