SRI LANKA | The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

Sri Dalada Maligawa. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is the place where the left tooth of Buddha is enshrined. It's Sri Lanka's most important Buddhist religious monument and World Heritage by UNESCO since 1988. The temple is adorned with carvings using gold, silver, bronze and ivory.
The city of Kandy is considered the cultural capital of the island.
