He definitely proved his grit, but how is it not a real win? It's not like fundora elbowed him. Tim ran into his elbow himself. It's no different than any other mistake a person can make in boxing. So it's definitely a real loss and he's not making excuses which is good. Don't make excuses for him.
@@purplevincent4454 fair point, I guess what I mean is he fought galiantly despite the cut/blood on his face which would definitely have impacted his vision and his ability to fight his normal fight, still that all part of boxing and I'm not trying to take anything away from Fundora who won fair and square. But I don't think the performance hurts Tim in anyway other than he lost, but feel his stock probably rose.

The doctors expression told the truth about how bad the cut was but it seemed like they didn't want Tim Tszyu to leave as the champion. Big Tim Tszyu fan here. I was not disappointed in his performance- he was doing great until the cut gave Fundora an edge in effective boxing, Tszyu finding it difficult to see almost immediately and for the rest of the fight. Fundora boxed a great fight too, he is tough as hell and d oh did much better than I thought he would. He’s a really nice guy as well so congrats to him. 💥🥊

Let’s talk about how Tszyu trained for Thurman for majority of his camp just for Thurman to pull out and for him and his team to fully change and adjust to a very tall boxer let alone a south paw on a weeks/2 notice and made it close.

My point was just appreciation for Tszyu making it a close fight despite all the adversity he had to overcome and yes Fundora took the fight on 2 weeks notice but he would’ve been in training and prepared and obviously would’ve studied tapes on both fighters in case someone pulled out the fight where as Tszyu had to study Thurman who’s orthodox and fights completely different, that was my point!

This dude is a class act! I gained even more respect for him after this loss. I had Fundora winning 7-5 maybe 8-4 but it was close. I think the cut was a factor but I always felt Fundora was gonna be a problem in this fight once it was announced. Love both fighters and hopefully they gained more respect from true fans of the sport.

Last few rds tim got active earlier, needed to do that rd 6 onwards. By the time tim was in his groove his face was covered in blood and was missing the shots he ALWAYS makes.
You can hear the emotion in Tims voice...he was almost ready to let it out....but he kept his composure.
He lost like 2 liters of blood. I bet he felt half drunk out there...
Tszyu trained for a smaller/shorter guy, but got a 6'6 guy instead, and then cut himself in the match and had to fight him almost blind too, and still put on a show. Definitely deserves rematch.

The two fighters should be congratulated, Tim for accepting the loss graciously and Fundora for being humble of being the winner. Two fighters worth praising for.
Rematch. It is a Disgrace the fight wasn't stopped. Tszyu is the superior fighter and was oncourse to win easilt until the cut.
Fundora did box exactly how he should of though. Used his size. Split decision was wrong imo, should have been UD
Tszyu landed more powershots, some judges reward that more than others.
@@Soul-Taker i agree 100 percent. He also landed a lot more of his shots percentage wise. Fundora threw and missed a lot. They say you have to win convincingly to take a belt. I didnt think he did. But my opinion is biased as fuck lol. Its points boxing though, and in the US.
Fundora owned the ring with the jab, still not enough to say he comprehensivepy won belt though. Tim will come back huge though. A cut is all that will stop his rise. Massive future ahead.
