I find after doing something like garlic or onions the smell last forever no matter how I clean it. So I do a load of lemons and it removes the smell. I have been doing Medicinal plants and powdering them to put in my morning shakes. Lemons, beets, turmeric, ginger, and so on. Lemons and ginger are fat burners, turmeric for joints, beets for blood pressure. I have seen results in these areas of my health. 1/8th to a 1/4 teaspoon daily of each is all I have been taking. I also do bananas for leg cramps but it goes against weight loss.There are more plants for other health problems that I use but I feel like it would be problematic to recommend. You have to do your own homework on them. Just getting away from prescribed meds has turned my health around.
Another viewer recommended laying slices of bread all over the top of the garlic and only doing it on the top shelf. I tried that and it worked pretty well and didn't affect the dry time. I have loved the finished product on my own fd garlic and onions, both minced and powdered, and powdered ginger. All are so much better than even the best commercial products I have gotten.
