I have a $25 box of 2017D pennies and was wondering what your thoughts are on how much I should sell them for. I opened up one roll before realizing the whole box was the same date and mint. I carefully placed each coin into a 2x2 baggy.

I always thought the new shield penny was beautiful...and my husband died in JAN. 2017 (or rather was killed (in a hospital)), so it's a memorial year for me. (married in 2010- it's inception)

I went to my bank on the 3rd and got 3rolls of new pennies , got a roll of D's , P's and a mixed roll of with an without the mint marks really cool looking too.

Like the info you provide in your videos. Have been finding more and more 2017s in penny boxes. Mostly Ds because I live in Midwest. I typically don't find both mint marks on new pennies until summer. Bought a $25 box of Ps in March for 3c per coin. Will look through it for errors and high grades. Have you seen any 17s with no mint mark?

Everytime I try to sell my coins I have no luck and I have lot of really good coins I just don't understand why some people can sell anything and I can't make no sense to me any suggestions?

They use to get them here by the Thousands and now your lucky to even to find a 2017-P, but I'm glad I saved a lot of them while they was out.

Quick question. Anyone can answer if they'd like but I have 10 rolls of unopened 2020 pennies I got from the bank. I was penny hunting and the last thing I wanted was "shield" cents however I got a box and was given 10 rolls of 2020s uncerculated the 2021s were out however I still haven't seen them in my town but should I maybe just sale the whole sale on Ebay or do u think there are enough varieties out there for the 2020 to go through? Blurring you're right sir. I have over 5 rolls of brand new 2017 pennies but the problem they have as you've noticed is water-marks all over the coin. It's disappointing seeing new coins like that be like they are.

i have about 20 rolls of uncirculated 2017p coins i bought them 4 years ago in the states and i brought them with me in bermuda where i actually work now after 4 years i am still afraid to open them up and search for errors because i know if i open them there al all brand new and never being touched and they are all shining in a very high grade
I have about twenty "P" mint marks, and about ten "D" mint marks. I submitted my first coins to PCGS today. I think I could have submitted nicer coins, but I hope they come back ok.

I have a lot of nice coins, but have never gotten any graded, still new to that. I have a quarter, 2009, misding clad on both sides, have some other unique ones, older nickels with 6 full steps. I just don't know where to send, and hopefully a decent price to be graded. Any info greatly appreciated

Hi Silverhound, I have a question. Now, my understanding is that these newer Lincoln coins are pretty much struck at one time. Unlike in the past, where various parts of the coin was struck at different times. Pretty much eliminating 'RPM'S, etc. . So I went onto The Lincoln Cent Resource to compare what a 2000 doubled die obverse might look like in comparison to an older dated coin, and what I found was that the doubled die's didn't quite look like a true DDO, but instead, more like what's been referred to in the past as a "Mechanical Die". Would you please give me you point of view concerning this matter, when it's convenient of course, and if at all possible. Thank you for your time and effort.

This video is almost 3 years old and I just checked the PCGS Pop. Report today 4/11/2020 and there are still ONLY 3 of the 2017-D Cents THAT GRADE A MS-68 WOW.
Just goes to show you that the quality control at the Denver Mint was not so good in 2017.
The 2017-D still has a book value of $1,300. The 2016 Philadelphia Cent (NO "P" on coin in 2016) only has 4 graded at a MS-68 and books for $2,500 currently. NICE
I'm still waiting to find that 1 2017 no mint mark in BU condition, there's gotta be one out there

Good Evening i have been collecting coins for about a year how do i like find out how do i get these coins minted and ready for auction!Some one help me out if u can i have plenty of change!
I went to the phila mint last week and they are still making 2017 cents seen bins upon bins of cents. The mint sends these cents in bins to Garda, Loomis, Brinks where they are wrapped and then distributed to various banks they deliver to. It is impossible to get coins from any mint wrapped, I've tried. It is basicly up to these companies when they deliver the wrapped coins to the banks. Some have shown up at big supermarkets though. Believe me, there won't be any shortage of 2017 P cents, I seen with my own eyes they are still cranking them out. Probably in the billions. Also, I don't see how there are cents with out mint marks being that the mark is already on the die, unless the mint mark gets grease filled which would cause the mark not to show on the coin. Just a heads up! When the phila mint makes the 2018 cent that will be the time to look for the P mint mark because this year is the only year the mark will be on the cent in Phila as it is for now. I myself have plenty of the 2017 P cents and didn't have to pay a premium for them.

Yeah, I heard that they were supposed to go back to the previous design, but didn't think about how a few P's could still show up - will definitely keep my eyes peeled! I went to the bank @ a month ago, and asked for 14 rolls (wanted more, but this was done at the drive-through), and 13 of the 14 rolls were 2017 D's!
im looking at 2018 penny and there was a cud by the date, crack from W of the "we" all the way to forehead with a cud and cud on the jaw some of them has cuds on top left of the shield. Im not sure if I have to save this before I submit it to 3rd party grading

I have a 1964 penny which I believe has 5 errors. On the back the T in cent has a crooked cross. The front has an incomplete mint stamp, last t in trust, L in liberty off the edge and the T in liberty appears as a Y.
I do have 15 2017 pennies
I've gone through about 10 rolls of 2017 P & D cents. Got about 50 that have the corner of the shield missing (over polish of the die). Several rolls with nothing but shield die cracks, cuds, spears, rays; forehead and hair die cracks, cuds. I have more 2017 P with hair and forehead (Frankenstein) die crack than anything else. Not sure what to do with them all or if they are worth sending off to grade. They all have very nice luster to them with a few imperfections.
i've been watching my change for 2017-P cents, looking out for that doubled variety, but haven't found one yet, though plenty of them in current change... i notice those watermarks, though, on nearly every new cent i find...
I'm not a coin collector and don't understand what you are showing on your PC. I do have about 25 rolls of 2017-P pennies only because I heard a big buzz about the mint releasing them. So are they worth anything other that 1 cent?
Well a box of 2017 P'S ($25) can easily go for $35-$50 so for $12.50 in 2017p's you could get about $20 so if you resently got those rolls I would go back and get the rest of them.

Shaun ,I did get a pretty high end metal detector at the time, but I'm surrounded by water also so got one that was also water proof my first coin was a silver dime, cool till I realized it said half/dime wish I still had that lady, dude I watch you every day ,you're alright in my book..

hey shaun when the 2017p came out i told my friend how they would be rare and stuff. so i used to always save em for last few years. he used too laugh at me but i may have a few good ones. i saved up like 10 packs of 5. since u dont got none id be happy to send u some. someday if i win n give away or u do n auction ill send u my email. i def dont mind sending u a few pennies bro hehe. 25% copper makes them really weak n most are carbon spotted. but man u have taught me so much over the last year, im sorry i always do like huge messages n rants lol. but yeah bud np ill send ya a few 2017 p if you'd like.

There's been plenty of cent coins going for over 300.00 and up in high grading do to lack of finding many just before the Millennium issues to present date issues.

So...if you did get an MS 68, could it have any even of the slightest wash residue, or very hard to see mark? I wouldn't think so, but then the question is, if MS 68 has to be flawless then what in the heck is the subjectivity for MS 69 and MS 70 in comparison? Also, could the MS 69 and MS 70 grade be graded from the naked eye?

Where did you order the batch of pennies? Whenever I go to the bank they give me rolls of circulated pennies instead of the new rolls.
Dwayne, just tell the teller you want a new roll of 2017 p or d sealed roll. If they have them they should sell them to you. Check at CU and customer service counters at the grocery and CVS, Walgreens.
