Mind-blowing collection. It's so rare that not even dealers have them...I couldn't get any. Great job 👍.

I can only imagine the huge investment, & time spent on building a collection like this. I've been at it since last summer, & I've only collected from Somerset through to Sarah John, with most of my notes being Lowther. I'm mulling over the £10 first run (LH01) of Cleland. With the cheapest I've seen £200 (not a low serial number either). 😮

I see low serials being sold at inflated prices, even when not from the first series... it doesn't hold much weight with me.
My collection has expanded since this video but its getting harder and harder to get anything at close to fair value. I put twelve bids in above top estimate in an auction last week and won nothing.
      Patience is key...

I am reminded of Clive Everton commentating, at times! And it makes for an "interesting" presentation. : )
Nice collection, going back before the war, into WWI. And then the American. Have to appreciate the Fractional element. I am curious to know more about them!? Also noticed there is no English Provincials, which seems like something of an omission! Perhaps an affordable catalogue is what is needed?

Since then my collection has accumulated a fair amount, some more videos will follow... I have a handful of English provincial notes now, but most are expensive, poor condition and frankly ugly. So I havent concentrated there. I have completed fractional notes, have an educational series note, added many more white notes, errors and variants. Also I have expanded the treasury notes and overprints.... Outings is the catalogue for provincial, likely to be found in electronic format as copies of the book are selling at £100+

@@Daveyboyz1978 Crickey. I have a few provincials and to me they are generally about the same as white notes! And have the advantage of being in the c.19th. Who can own a c.19th BoE £5 ??! Not me for sure.

@@richarddelanet i have an 1811 Hase £1 note but its a bit grubby. Perhaps I am being a bit harsh on the privincials, I like the ones with a bit of colour on them... I will add some more eventually but I am trying to complete other aspects first and I know once I start on privincials I am just going to spend a fortune... the difference is theres hundreds of them. If uou are aiming at cashier signatures even though the BoE are expensive you don't need so many.

@@Daveyboyz1978 Yes this is one of the key conundrums about Provincials. If you focus on those with a bit of colour that would narrow the field. I have come across a few collectors who have concentrated on their surrounding counties. All of the West Country for example. I had thought about one from each county? as a nice reasonably obtainable objective. There are of course lots of towns with so much history!

I am not sure... I have these from where I have bought notes on ebay or at banknote fairs. I am sure dealers must have them available as they all seem to use them.
