I was 15 years old when this song came out... I had just lost my Mother which has even til this day been the biggest Heartbreak of my life. I lost my Dad just a few years before that so when I hear this song it takes me right back. I love music because Music is medicine for the soul this beautiful song tears me up but puts me back together again at the same time. Thank you for posting it.

I remember as a kid, we would all gather by my aunts house, my mom and all her brothers and sisters, my granny and all my cousins. I can still hear the Lionel record playing in the background, the sound of laughter and arguments around the domino table, the youngsters dropping off one by one and being covered with blankets. Thank you Lionel Richie for making my childhood awesome.

Conrad Sutton That was probably on purpose. Jam & Lewis (who produced and wrote this and two other songs on the Louder Than Words record) wanted to bring back the "Owwwww Girl" Lionel.
Conrad Sutton thought I was the only one. I have the same thought. Yes, I have elements of that classic in this song. Love this song! He still sounds and looks great! God bless him!
