This is a scenario I would expect for Leona, being the "lazy boy lion" and all, but the fact that practical and forthright Jack gets it makes me wish he was my friend in real life more right now. I can never get a read on whether Jack is interested in anyone, sexually or romantically, thanks to his standoffish and practical personality; what I do know is that when you earn his respect, you have a devoted friend or follower for life in Jack Howl. P.S. Jack doesn't need two more years of mage training to be equal to his (former) idol Leona; his diligence, integrity, and self-discipline already make him a better leader than Leona could ever be. This is my opinion, and I am sticking with it.
