Generally, credit cards are a safer option than debit cards because they provide better protection against fraud. If your debit card or card information falls into the wrong hands, a criminal has direct access to all of the money in your checking account. You just have to be disciplined with your money.
Totally agree with the credit card approach. You have to think about many the people Dave Ramsey is speaking to - individuals that are uneducated regarding the way money works and lack discipline in spending. I agree with his ultra-conservative approach because a huge bulk of people fall into this category. However, if you know what you're doing, credit cards are the way to go.

Yea, it's not so much money itself that is the problem but rather system and a number of it's incentives, but since you need a good replacement for said system already in mind (or potential one) and it takes a good portion of society to actually change over to it, most have to simply find a way to adapt to survive and thrive.

In fact, many people whose student loans were in Deferment we're required to calculate a monthly payment that is equal to 0.5% of their entire student loan. For many of us who have hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loans, this payment would be way too high and would dysqualify us from being preapproved for a mortgage, not to mention the real calculated payments are way lower than that on the new SAVE program. I'm planning to apply for a mortgage immediately upon the status change of my Student loans when they go from deferment to repayment status in a few days on september first. Perhaps you can Do a video on this? I'm sure there's some kind of intersection impact. Love your content. I've learned so much, looking forward to more.
When you have babies you end up spending a decent amount of money as well. You have to invest in your child. So credit cards are great for that purpose too. Many family vacations paid for via perks.
