  • Gautam Sachdeva takes the seeker through the core concepts of Advaita sage Ramesh Balsekar, as outlined in his first book 'Pointers from Ramesh Balsekar'. Gautam first visited Ramesh in February 2000 and, over a period of nine years, also worked closely with him in the process of publishing some of Ramesh's books.
This series of videos present the essence of Ramesh's teaching, as if he were walking the seeker through it in one of his morning talks.
Gautam Sachdeva speaks and writes on the subject of Advaita (non-duality). He writes with a specific focus on peace of mind in daily living. He spent over nine years in close association with renowned Advaita sage Ramesh Balsekar, assisting him with the editing and publishing of some of his books. Ramesh’s guru was Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, whose famed book I Am That is considered a modern spiritual classic. With the blessings of Ramesh, Gautam went on to write books based on his experience with the teaching. He also shares his experiential understanding of Advaita during talks with groups of like-minded people, with the specific focus of ‘peace of mind in daily living’.
Gautam is also the founder of Yogi Impressions, a publishing house that is at the forefront of publishing books on spirituality and personal growth. Yogi Impressions publish books across categories such as non-duality, kundalini, religion, mythology, paranormal, tarot, biography, mental health, parenting, health and wellness. Some of the authors and spiritual masters published include Alan Jacobs, Alan Watts, Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Joseph Campbell, Mooji, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Peter Russell, Rainer Maria Rilke, Rajini Menon, Ramana Maharshi, Ramesh S. Balsekar, Robert Adams, Santosh Sachdeva, Tony Parsons. Visit yogiimpressions.com/

Thanks a lot for clearing this. I was confused if I should totally stop doing actions, because anyways it will be destiny taking over whether I do anything or not.
Now, the challenge is how to have the zeal to act knowing the results will be god's will.

If you act as IF you have free will, that takes the Absolute to the Relative.

Thanks and God bless you! Of course when there is no doer the question of free will becomes redundant and yet 'i' feels cheated!!!!!!!!! Hahahahahaha

I beg to differ. Although my genes and my conditioning were not a part of my free will, however, God has given enough wisdom through the scriptural texts to attune one’s conditioning and align it with the divine will. Once one goes into complete surrender unto the divine and makes the divine will his free will then the divine will shall never make one do anything unrighteous which most end up doing exercising their free will. Stay blessed

Some Buddhist tulku say they chose the family they were born into. Even leave signs prior to their death for their previous students to find them, so they could return to there pervious temples

If in fact, with no free will or doership, there's no deciding as well.

Free will? Whose will? If our own existence is an illusion per his video, Who wants to know, What?, there is no question of Free will at all, is there?

But speaking of social environment or conditioning, education/knowledge acquisition has possibly been of our choosing. So we have indeed exercised Free Will and can’t quite say it’s God’s Will, can we?

What does it mean "To act as if there is a free will?" Why act, why pretend if there is no free will?
