I'm trying to figure out why you're trying to be a preacher, not everyone believes in what you believe in, you think because people don't accept Jesus Christ as their savior they're going to go to hell? Being a good person is not enough? I do believe there's some higher power out there and if they don't accept me for who I am and being a good person is not good enough then that does not sound like heaven to me, sounds like a dictatorship, you worship a book that was made 2,000 years ago by man, a true tactic on controlling the masses, not control like your thinking more like gives people something to look forward to because life after death/ complete nothingness scares people in a bad way, if you opened up your mind and thought a little bit you would quickly see all the faults in man-made God, if there is a God out there I highly doubt he would deny people simply because they used the mind that he gave us, why would he make us so smart that we doubt and think of everything, two words man science, aliens. It's a fact that we are not the only beings in the universe, are they going to hell as well because I bet alot that they havnt accepted Jesus.
Hi John, Thanks for the comment. First we have to determine the standard which is used to determine if we can call ourselves a "good person" as you have labeled yourself. Think for a moment, where do we find the standard required to label ourselves as a "good person"? The Ten Commandments in the Bible sets that standard for us, so lets see how good you and I really are. Commandment 9: "You shall not lie", in all your life have you ever told a lie before? Commandment 8: "do not steal", in all your life have you ever stolen something no matter how small it was? Commandment 3:, "do not take the name of the Lord in vain", in all you life have you ever said "G__ dam"? Commandment 7: "do not commit adultery", in all your life have you ever had inappropriate behavior with one of the ladies outside of a marital relationship. I could keep going but I would bet both you and I have broken all 10 of these commandments, so just how good of a person did you say you are? You see God pre knew there was no way on our own ability to meet the standard He set for us to label ourselves as a "good person" which is exactly why he sent Jesus to us. Jesus loves you so much that he was willing to lay down His life as a payment for your sin. This forgiveness is a free gift but you have to be willing to receive it by acknowledging you have sinned and fallen short of God's standard and reaching out to Jesus acknowledging who He was and what He did for you personally on the Cross. When you abandon your own self righteousness of trying being a good person by your own ability and accept Jesus as you Lord and Savior, then the Holy Spirit will enter into you and He will give you the ability to stay far away from sin in you life. You can't achieve being a "good person" on you own ability. As for the "aliens" if they exist, how do you know they don't know who Jesus is and don't have there own bibles. After all God made the whole universe.
I was saved as a kid, I accepted Jesus that day, and it felt good, about three years later my oldest brother drown trying to save his best friend, he was 21, one year after that my grandfather the greatest most honest man I've ever known died of cancer, after devoting 40 years of his life to his country, then grandma had a stroke and had to live the rest of hers with a helping hand, many of my friends died young, my sister passed away last year at age 32, currently my mother has lung cancer and is raising my sister three young children, over the years of unfortunate things happening in my life I've lost faith, I have hope that God is real, and I hope that the way I'm living is satisfying him. I would like to see my loved ones again. Thanks for taking the time to reply
Hi John, I can surely see your disappointment and hurt from all the challenges you have had over the years. I am sure with your many disappointments over the years it would be easy to blame God. The one point of encouragement I want to give you is the understanding that we have an enemy our there, Lucifer, who has come to kill steal and destroy so understand Lucifer is your enemy, not God. There is an unseen spiritual realm out there that we can battle in spiritually which will manifest in our natural world. Once you have seen with your own eyes the tangible physical power of the Holy Spirit as I have, then you will never doubt again. My wife is an author and has a book on Amazon “Becoming a Powerful Christian - 7 Secrets to a Life of Miracles and Answered Prayer”. It might encourage you and give you a different perspective on some of the tragedies of your past as well as equip you for any spiritual battles in the future. We are praying for you and your family.
