Those who are commenting that in National anthem there is no mention of NE. Then they are totally wrong, the word Himachal used in anthem represents all people who lived beneath Great Himalayan ranges, which comprises of today's Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and other NE states. This confusion occurs because often people get confused that word "Himachal" is used for Himachal Pradesh. But reality is that , when Tagore wrote this master piece, no Indian state was known as Himachal Pradesh. Word "Himachal" in National anthem is a geographical identity used for the people living in Himalayan ranges 🙏🇮🇳
