If you have a domain name, can you set up different emails with different providers? For instance, I use proton mail with my custom name. Then my kids use their own email, but at a different provider?
Can you suggest something better than gmail that will actually allow you to use IMAP (and not just POP3)? (In the case your domain registrar provides you a clunky email service and you wish to use something like gmail with it).
You talk of email service but apart from such services as Gmail and Hotmail emails what about options for email hosting for emails with custom domains? I am not that technical. Just trying to understand. Thanks
Hi Leo, Like I can do in Mail, here on my Macbook Pro, which of these will allow me to aggregate all 15 of my email address--of various brands: Gmail, Yahoo, etc--into one massive inbox? Thanks : )
Been using protonmail for several years now, and three days ago, I went to log in and got a solid red screen telling me that the sight has been reported to Microsoft as unsafe for containing phishing threats. What happened all of a sudden ?
I got it too. I'll claim it's a false positive (probably by people incorrectly reporting). I reported as "safe", and went on in. I trust protonmail. But like ANY email provider, the email messages you get can, of course, include phishing attempts.
You have many choices. Some, in my opinion, are better...
I agree. ❤️
I've used Thunderbird, witn ho problems,, since switching to W10.

If you mean email provider, no. Email for a domain needs to route through a single provider.

Thanks, Leo~

Most domain sellers offer the option. You can also host at services like proton.com.
Thanks Leo helpful information ! Do you have a video or explanation on how to get your own domain and how much it might cost? Thanks
My old "on business" as a few sections on that. Check out "Your domain" at biz.askleo.com/table-of-contents/
How can one convince an old person to choose a service which is NOT their i.s.p. ? Now; not some time later?
If they ever move they'll likely need a new ISP and their old Email address will stop working.
this is a great video, thanks
Could you recommend a service for buying a domain Leo?
I've used simpleurl.com for years.
Can you recommend e-mail to use for applying to college and university applications?
Gmail should be fine.
@@askleonotenboom thank you leo
