So back on topic, Alex kisses Zach in the rooftop but Zach politely declines him and they're still friends. Alex first starts a relationship with Winston but dumps him after he becomes aware that Winston is trying to discover who killed Bryce. After that he becomes closer to Charlie during the shooter drill when Charlie helps him when he has a panic attack and they kiss, at first Alex doesn't want a relationship but Charlie kind of wins his heart and both come out to their parents. And they're chosen kings of the prom dance.

My bff was all like "I want to punch him in the face he's acting like an asshole" and yes, he was, but he was struggling with alcoholism, so I was more angry with the group than with him and more after they said that thing about having their backs. No one seemed to give a shit for him. I mean we had Justin and Alex that at least they tried but most of the time all of them were just like "stop being an idiot" or judging him instead of actually helped him as well as they did with Justin with his drug problem for example. Even at the end, when they're at the hospital Zach is sitting alone and far away from the group

Leaving him in the alley after telling him that she still loves him but not saying that she doesn't love Diego after he asks her to. Both Clay and Jessica treated him like shit for no reason. I swear this season was written by 10 people who didn't agree on anything.

thank you so much for giving us what we deserved. zalex was the only reason i kept watching this show and i was super dissapointed to see them not end together. they had a lot of chemistry. also alex/charlie came out of nowhere. so this is oficially my favorite edit of zalex. I'm always in love with your editing but this one is outstanding. the manips are incredible and the song choice + the voiceovers fit perfectly. amazing work.

Of course my #1 choice is Zach and Alex for sure; it would have been good to see Zach falling for Alex without putting any labels on it. Alex never really says that he is gay, but i feel like it is implied. While with Zach, he is actually straight, but would've been great to see him fall for a guy ! That would have been a really good "coming of age" thing. But there's a part of me who actually enjoy the fact that they really do love each other, but not as lovers. I think it is something good also to show. Not just because you have good chemistry with someone of the same gender as you means you are gay. So when we wee the relationship betweem Winston and Alex, i was quite excited about it. I thought their chemistry were good and they were cute together. They were what the other needed i think. Long story short: Zalex would have been awesome, but would have been very happy with Winston x Alex. Sorry Charlie, not even in the mix..
DISCLAIMER (because I'm seeing some comments pointing me some things) I totally understand that Zach can be straight and this kind of friendship obviously can happen between men without them being in a relationship or romantic interest in each other. And Zach reaction to Alex kiss was wonderful, he was very supportive and didn't make a big deal of it, eventhough his rejection. Please, I don't want you to think that I'm mad or something just because they didn't make Zach gay or bi or pan or demi, etc LOL. As well as you can't make someone gay, straight, you can't make someone straight, gay either. So that's what we had, a straight Zach and a bi (I think) Alex. That's fine ... HOWEVER, my point here is that Alex was apparently straight before season 4, but he came out this season. Something similar could happened with Zach but the writers didn't make it happen. Some people were a bit disappointed how this turned out because of all the built up relationship and bond and chemistry these two had the previous seasons. And that they had so much potential to become a couple. A friends to lovers thing, a "I thought I wasn't really into guys but I developed feelings for you, so I might be into guys and I want to explore that path" thing, you know?. They even clickbaited us using the zalex hashtags and liking tweets of them being endgame and shit. They clowned the zalex fandom. Besides, the Charlie and Alex thing felt very forced even if I really like Charlie and Alex as separate characters. I felt that their relationship literally came out of nowhere after all we saw in the previous seasons. Zach storyline was very interesting at some point (a bit OOC tho since he was always a very likeable character and this season they made him a bit unlikeable really, and they could have made his story more empathetic if they wanted, knowing how they even tried making Bryce or Monty a kind of empathetic storyline). Also I think he hadn't a proper closure. It was a abrupt. And I think they could have explored Zach's character a lot more because he had a lot of potential. Idk, that's just my opinion. Zalex as friendship is wonderful and very pure and it's nice to see how they are (almost) always for each other no matter what. But I wished things went a bit different because even at the end I felt that Alex wasn't happy and was with Charlie just because he apparently was very good for him. And Zach well, I already talked about Zach. I saw him very lonely through the whole season, when in the past he was always there for his friends, especially for Alex. That's kind of what I made this lol, as well as other people are writing fanfics, to give zalex the ending we thought they should've had. They are fictional characters so we can make fictional stories about them. This video is just for people who wanted them being canon as well as myself. With that said, sorry for being such a hardcore shipper but zalex deserved better and I needed to make that happen. And sorry if the manips are a kinda cringy or bad, but that's the best I could do in such a few days lol. This is how some scenes could have gone; Zach being the one who calmed down Alex during the lockdown since it was him who was always there for him during his recovery and not Charlie, like, so random. Alex staying with Zach when Zach asked him why he was with him and not with Charlie. Since Alex said he loves making crimes with Zach and he wanted to stay. When Alex told Ani she saved his life more than anyone i got it, but Zach was there too and I really felt those words kinda went for him too(? since he literally saved his life so many times, including helping Alex to recover his normal life after he got brain damage. Alex caring and helping Zach through his alcoholism problem, as well as he did in the last episode but since the beginning of the season, instead of telling him to stop being an asshole so many times. Sorry but I wanted a kiss generated by the adrenaline of the moment of be gays do crimes. The vibe when they were on the boat saying "fuck it all" tho ... . Besides the "that's what makes us free" out of context reminded me of Gallavich, you know, Mickey saying "what you and i have makes me free". Zach and Alex getting high with each other. Zach being stubborn to convince Alex to go to prom with him and not giving up until he got it (without being cringy or creepy or extremely cheesy). Zach being the one who took Alex to prom because they deserve that dance since s02 when Zach teached Alex how to dance. Zach being the boyfriend Alex presented to his family. I bet Zach would be so happy and the family would be very supportive, knowing in advance how caring and good he is with Alex. I'm sure Zach would be the only one who could make Alex dance with his "Dempsey magic" power lol. Zach didn't hesitate to blame himself for Bryce crime because even if he was in the "I don't give a shit" mood, I think he would do it anyways if he had to protect Alex. Zach cares about Alex. No matter what. Always. Well they deserved to be in love. End of story. If you read ALL THIS I owe you my heart ❤️
absolutely agree. it would’ve been PERFECT. and I can see Zach initially turning him down like in S4E1 so that Alex and Winston get together for the sake of the plot (I.e., W loving Alex enough not to tell anyone about Monty). but then they break up like normal. I think it would have given zachs character a reason to be jealous and this would help him realize his true feelings for Alex. and then, just how you described it ❤️ honestly such a good video and Im sorry that I’m over analyzing something so much, I just Zach would make a better ending for Alex than Charlie (he’s cute but I agree, it was out of literally nowhere and was it just me or did Alex seem annoyed by him WAY more than any actual love or chemistry? Oops)
Thank you SO MUCH for this edit! I was somewhat disappointed with what Zach's character was reduced to this season, but I did notice that Alex still brought out the best in him. Zalex not being endgame was incredibly unsatisfying, and this video gave me much-needed closure, so THANK YOU!
I don’t like Zalex but they definitely didn’t do the right things or focus on zach enough this season he was one of the more interesting characters in my opinion and I feel like lots of people can empathise with all the stuff he’s bin through with Hannah , his mum , his dad and his guilt

Ikk, it felt like Alex and Charlie were forced to be a couple last minute. I mean yeah Alex was happy, but I didn't feel the same vibe that he was with Winston or Zach, he was like sticking around Zach like a puppy even though Zach was messed up. I just felt like Alex didn't really like Charlie, he was kinda always mean to him when they did get together. I think they forced Alex into too many relationships this season when in reality his heart was with Zach.
Thanks for giving us the ending they deserved! Although I really loved all the zalex scenes we got in this final season I don't understand why they didn't make them the end couple. Charlie was sweet, but it was very random and out of nowhere, and it felt like Alex was just annoyed with him most of the time rather than in love.

@@softoreos2011 I know, me too! haha I think I would have preferred if they had left it an 'open' ending on their relationship, like in the first episode they had the kiss and Zack rejects him, but then with their scenes through the season and seeing Alex with Wilson he starts thinking 'well maybe I do feel something for him' and then in the final episode they would have a conversation where they would agree to try and see what happened. In this way it would made more sense with all the buildup from previous seasons but at the same time it would not be a total radical transformation to Zack's sexuality. Just because Alex found out that he may like guys with his attraction towards Zack, doesn't mean it makes sense to make him date all the random gay guys in the school, without any backstory to show us that he really likes them. It was like he just thought 'oh Charlie is available and seems to like me, let's kiss him', it was not really a problem with the character Charlie, but the fact that there was no backstory to show us that they cared for each other before. Charlie was totally the second choice because he couldn't have Zack and nobody should be a second choice. I would have preferred if Alex ended up alone and happy.
13RW - all that violence and death among high school students - a society were events like this are not that far fetched and many of the issues portrayed actually believable is in urgent need of reform. any chance of that happening since the conclusion of the show? or is it getting worse? imagine what needs to happen for Hannah not to have 13RW to kill herself, or to prevent at least some of the violence and deaths shown. breaking a 'friends' knee during football match? breaking both knee's as retaliation and an elbow? all the rape, the bullying, access to guns...

the thing is, when i try to envision every road alex could’ve gone down with each boy, zach still sticks out because imo zach felt like the only person that could keep alex in line. charlie and winston were both sweet to alex, but zach had this way of protecting him (when he was in the right headspace, s4 was a different zach) zach truly looked out for him in a way that i’m not sure the other boys could. and in all honesty, i think he probably did love him back. he just had never thought about the possibility that his soulmate could be a boy. and by the time he could’ve realized it, alex moved on.
We all need this¡ They always have this special relationship that is more than the word friend or couple / boyfriend can describe ♡. I hope they can work in new projects together in the future¡

I love that they are really good friends. That Zach kept being a really good friend to Alex after he kissed him. He didn’t do the straight guy thing and get all weird but he kept on loving him as a friend.
I finished the show in like 2 weeks. I did all nighters just to finish this. This show helped me get threw so much I loved it so much. It helped me get threw all the things that happened in my life. Like when Jessica was talking about her rape and everyone was worse was standing up i stranded up to and said I am a survivor that scene made me cry so hard. Eveb though charlue and alex looks adorable together, as compared to the tough times zach and alex has gone through, i think them being together and being happy would have been the best climax. Jess dialogue to alex: you deserve to be happy, actually should have been for alex and zach. Both of dem shares the trauma of bryce murder that they are responsible. So this climax would hav been better.

Some people were a bit disappointed how this turned out because of all the built up relationship and bond and chemistry these two had the previous seasons. And that they had so much potential to become a couple. A friends to lovers thing, a "I thought I wasn't really into guys but I developed feelings for you, so I might be into guys and I want to explore that path" thing, you know?.
They even clickbaited us using the zalex hashtags and liking tweets of them being endgame and shit. They clowned the zalex fandom.
Besides, the Charlie and Alex thing felt very forced even if I really like Charlie and Alex as separate characters. I felt that their relationship literally came out of nowhere after all we saw in the previous seasons.
Zach storyline was very interesting at some point (a bit OOC tho since he was always a very likeable character and this season they made him a bit unlikeable really, and they could have made his story more empathetic if they wanted, knowing how they even tried making Bryce or Monty a kind of empathetic storyline). Also I think he hadn't a proper closure. It was a abrupt. And I think they could have explored Zach's character a lot more because he had a lot of potential.
Idk, that's just my opinion. Zalex as friendship is wonderful and very pure and it's nice to see how they are (almost) always for each other no matter what.
But I wished things went a bit different because even at the end I felt that Alex wasn't happy and was with Charlie just because he apparently was very good for him. And Zach well, I already talked about Zach. I saw him very lonely through the whole season, when in the past he was always there for his friends, especially for Alex.
That's kind of what I made this lol, as well as other people are writing fanfics, to give zalex the ending we thought they should've had.
They are fictional characters so we can make fictional stories about them. This video is just for people who wanted them being canon as well as myself.
With that said, sorry for being such a hardcore shipper but zalex deserved better and I needed to make that happen. And sorry if the manips are a kinda cringy or bad, but that's the best I could do in such a few days lol.
This is how some scenes could have gone;
Zach being the one who calmed down Alex during the lockdown since it was him who was always there for him during his recovery and not Charlie, like, so random.
Alex staying with Zach when Zach asked him why he was with him and not with Charlie. Since Alex said he loves making crimes with Zach and he wanted to stay.
When Alex told Ani she saved his life more than anyone i got it, but Zach was there too and I really felt those words kinda went for him too(? since he literally saved his life so many times, including helping Alex to recover his normal life after he got brain damage.
Alex caring and helping Zach through his alcoholism problem, as well as he did in the last episode but since the beginning of the season, instead of telling him to stop being an asshole so many times.
Sorry but I wanted a kiss generated by the adrenaline of the moment of be gays do crimes.
The vibe when they were on the boat saying "fuck it all" tho ... . Besides the "that's what makes us free" out of context reminded me of Gallavich, you know, Mickey saying "what you and i have makes me free".
Zach and Alex getting high with each other.
Zach being stubborn to convince Alex to go to prom with him and not giving up until he got it (without being cringy or creepy or extremely cheesy).
Zach being the one who took Alex to prom because they deserve that dance since s02 when Zach teached Alex how to dance.
Zach being the boyfriend Alex presented to his family. I bet Zach would be so happy and the family would be very supportive, knowing in advance how caring and good he is with Alex.
I'm sure Zach would be the only one who could make Alex dance with his "Dempsey magic" power lol.
Zach didn't hesitate to blame himself for Bryce crime because even if he was in the "I don't give a shit" mood, I think he would do it anyways if he had to protect Alex.
Zach cares about Alex. No matter what.

absolutely agree. it would’ve been PERFECT. and I can see Zach initially turning him down like in S4E1 so that Alex and Winston get together for the sake of the plot (I.e., W loving Alex enough not to tell anyone about Monty). but then they break up like normal. I think it would have given zachs character a reason to be jealous and this would help him realize his true feelings for Alex. and then, just how you described it ❤️ honestly such a good video and Im sorry that I’m over analyzing something so much, I just Zach would make a better ending for Alex than Charlie (he’s cute but I agree, it was out of literally nowhere and was it just me or did Alex seem annoyed by him WAY more than any actual love or chemistry? Oops)

I don’t like Zalex but they definitely didn’t do the right things or focus on zach enough this season he was one of the more interesting characters in my opinion and I feel like lots of people can empathise with all the stuff he’s bin through with Hannah , his mum , his dad and his guilt

Thanks for giving us the ending they deserved! Although I really loved all the zalex scenes we got in this final season I don't understand why they didn't make them the end couple. Charlie was sweet, but it was very random and out of nowhere, and it felt like Alex was just annoyed with him most of the time rather than in love.

@@softoreos2011 I know, me too! haha I think I would have preferred if they had left it an 'open' ending on their relationship, like in the first episode they had the kiss and Zack rejects him, but then with their scenes through the season and seeing Alex with Wilson he starts thinking 'well maybe I do feel something for him' and then in the final episode they would have a conversation where they would agree to try and see what happened. In this way it would made more sense with all the buildup from previous seasons but at the same time it would not be a total radical transformation to Zack's sexuality. Just because Alex found out that he may like guys with his attraction towards Zack, doesn't mean it makes sense to make him date all the random gay guys in the school, without any backstory to show us that he really likes them. It was like he just thought 'oh Charlie is available and seems to like me, let's kiss him', it was not really a problem with the character Charlie, but the fact that there was no backstory to show us that they cared for each other before. Charlie was totally the second choice because he couldn't have Zack and nobody should be a second choice. I would have preferred if Alex ended up alone and happy.

13RW - all that violence and death among high school students - a society were events like this are not that far fetched and many of the issues portrayed actually believable is in urgent need of reform. any chance of that happening since the conclusion of the show? or is it getting worse?
imagine what needs to happen for Hannah not to have 13RW to kill herself, or to prevent at least some of the violence and deaths shown. breaking a 'friends' knee during football match? breaking both knee's as retaliation and an elbow? all the rape, the bullying, access to guns...
literally these two had insane amounts of chemistry and it wasn’t just all from Alex. the writers could’ve done a rlly interesting exploration into sexuality. you can think you’re straight your entire life and still end up falling for your best friend. but no apparently that was too much to ask for...

the thing is, when i try to envision every road alex could’ve gone down with each boy, zach still sticks out because imo zach felt like the only person that could keep alex in line.
charlie and winston were both sweet to alex, but zach had this way of protecting him (when he was in the right headspace, s4 was a different zach)
zach truly looked out for him in a way that i’m not sure the other boys could. and in all honesty, i think he probably did love him back. he just had never thought about the possibility that his soulmate could be a boy. and by the time he could’ve realized it, alex moved on.
We all need this¡ They always have this special relationship that is more than the word friend or couple / boyfriend can describe ♡. I hope they can work in new projects together in the future¡

Like when Jessica was talking about her rape and everyone was worse was standing up i stranded up to and said I am a survivor that scene made me cry so hard. Eveb though charlue and alex looks adorable together, as compared to the tough times zach and alex has gone through, i think them being together and being happy would have been the best climax. Jess dialogue to alex: you deserve to be happy, actually should have been for alex and zach. Both of dem shares the trauma of bryce murder that they are responsible. So this climax would hav been better.
