The HP2 Enduro was more than a parts bike. It had a blueprinted motor with no counterbalancer for faster rev, a much longer rear swingarm, model-specific frame, no fancy electronic anything and a unique front-end.
I have a hp2mm and a hp2e and love this bikes, also i have a 1250gs love it but if you use it offroad it needs a bit of extra parts to do a great job, but what bike can be good at offroad 2h later going onroad like hunting other superbikes that easy :)
I startet with 52, i dreamed 3 dekades to make my licence. and it was the best one of decision in life At last, the best decision is to buy an GS, i regret nothing and every day it makes me happy to make a ride. I fell in love with an BMW-Bike :-) if u can use this term! B-est M-otorcycle in W-orld

Common BMW make another hp2 bike using the Rninet model.
It can't be too difficult to put the rear end of the r1250 gs and the front of the f850.
