@@joshuaatehortua7352 well obviously it’s a portable system that release a year before the SNES was out what did you expect? It’s still great looking for what the game gear is
Yeah! It's kinda sad when you consider how, in terms of sales. it was solidly trounced by the Game Boy - which was technologically nowhere near as impressive as the Game Gear.
@@GaryRetroGamer indeed. When I was kid I owned Gameboy and few games, but my neighbor game gear, I was so jealous, because his games look more impressive. In my country if someone have Gameboy and game gear you know they have lot of money. He's father travel across the globe and send him gifts.Funny thing is his father have own game gear, I was confused because I thought games are for kids :) but here I'm taking about games.

Nice list! I'd probably add Royal Stone and Madou Monogatari games to the list myself instead of some of the puzzle titles, but this one's still very good nonetheless. Quite a few hidden games on the system for sure.
You should make another sega list. Don't know if there's 100 of them, but a list of homebrews/rom hacks/unlicensed ports for genesis/master system would be awesome
Best list are : 10) Sylvan Tale 9) Chakan 8) Xmen 7) Mortal Kombat 6) Megaman 5) Jurassic Park 4) Gun Star Heroes 3) Batman Returns 2) GG Shinobi 2 1) Streets of Rage 2 Honorable mentions not in list : - Power Strike 2 - Sailor Moon - Judge Dredd - Outrun - Afterburner - Alex kidd
Also Batman Returns, GG Shinobi, Streets of Rage, Power Rangers, Lucky Dime Caper, Legend of Illusion, Ronald in Magical World, Ninja Gaiden and Master of Darkness
What a great library the Game Gear has. Of course the Game Boy library was better overall but the Game Gear had a colored display before the GBC came out and the games still look very great for a handheld imho. Shout out to Analogue for their Analogue Pocket, that is bringing this great library to a second life. By the way isn't it amazing how different Prince of Persia (one of the most ported games) looks on each system?
I dreamt to have Defenders of Oasis during all my youth....found it just one time and my parents refused to buy it. One of the saddest days of my life.
Hello, i love this channel and your dedication towards retro gaming. Just wanted to ask you or anyone who is looking at this post; that since past couple of months i am trying to find out one old NES/SEGA type soccer game which is more like anime style gaming where we play as a protagonist and regarding the gameplay there is only one player displayed on screen while dribbling the ball and the players can shoot the ball with super powers like in Shaolin Soccer.... If the power is op then the keeper fly away like an airplane and the goalpost net is destroyed and so on..... I used to play this game when i was a kid and now i am 33. I am quite sure that lot of other players played this game as well and it would be a great appreciation if anyone tells me the name of this game. I am really desperate right now..😫😫😔😔.. ( Note::: It is not GOAL franchise, which has also super power shootings like in cartoons..) Thank you in advance.. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Game Gear>Game Boy! I still don't get it. Nintendo won _this_ match..? Sega GG was SO ahead of it's time... I just don't get it, guess I never will. 🤷♂️
Sega didn't really leave much of a legacy compared to Nintendo and Sony, so none of these games are all that memorable, nostalgic or gem like material. Sure kids grew up playing some of these titles, but none that are Mario or Crash like....sorry Sega, you just don't "have it".
@Light Portal He's not entirely wrong though... Sure, there ARE gems on the Game Gear like Wonder Boy 3 but there aren't many. It helped that there was an adaptor to play any Master System game on the Game Gear though.
I like watching these videos to spot any potential hidden gems that I might have not picked up yet :)
Have you found any interesting good from one of these vids? Let us know!
Vampire - Master of darkness is a must
ahh... What a great moment back there. Thank dad, thank mom for buying me sega
some of these visuals look so damn impressive for that time.
Gabrielle Raúl except earthworm Jim it’s just a downgrade from the SNES
@@joshuaatehortua7352 but the SNES was a 16bit system. Game Gear was "just" a portable. Imagine a downgraded Earthworm Jim for the Game Boy..!^^

Wtf dynamite heady on gg???
I never realized the GameGear looked this good, you could genuinely mistake some of the games for being early Genesis games.
Some games look pretty awesome for handheld device. Thanks for sharing...
