I lived in a 'Discs of Tron' cabinet for about 3 years! lol On the first level, You can keep him off balance, winging him, and hundreds of extra lives for later levels.
1. Good luck finding so many old games. (And no...they wouldn't use MAME...a legal gray area for end users..but not so gray of an area for a TV show to do so.) 2. The players would be even more clueless than they were back then.
0:00 "Sunday at 1pm, join Benny Bender as he interviews some drunk children as they learn ballet. Only on WTNH-TV New Haven's only source of news, now featuring our busty dingbat weathergirl; Dolly Dewdrop with the weather forecast."
The kid is down by 500 and picks a game where there is no possible way to make up 500 points on anyone in such a short time.. And no...don't say he is just a kid. Even for a kid his age, that should be common sense.
I remember this show... talk about time machine!😳... There was also another popular video game show with a younger, probably late teens/early 20's male host... can't recall what it was called... anyone remember the name of that other program?🤔
Geoff was an awesome host. He actually got into the games himself during his tenure on the show. R.I.P.💔
Geoff was a true gamer overall! He LOVED them.
I hope this series never ends
This was your sentiment between 1982 and 1984?
@@DLCOrganization yes
I remember that show. It was a lot of fun seeing many of the arcade games we played in the arcades.
OMG!! I loved this show so much.
Another day, another great classic Starcade show!

What a treat; thank you for uploading this! I remember the host was in another game show, I just cant remember which one.
Man, Geoff was awesome! He has me rolling laughing in some of these episodes
Geoff became an avid video game fan during his time on the show.
🤔aaaah brings back memories👍👍👍
That bionic chair was on my brothers wish list for xmas for like 4 years😂
Never got it though 😢
I never seen this befor glad I see it now ❤
the thumbnail made me think Discs of Tron said Disco Tron. lol
Could say that this was the Esports competition of the 80s..
Best part about this show is that ANYBODY can play!
I wonder if people would be interested in a reboot of Starcade? It would be a good way to introduce a new generation to classic arcade games.

i used to have that rainbow brite sing a long record lol
First time I have sent this show, can’t wait to watch them all now!!
I’ve been addicted to them too. Watching a few episodes a night
The ending announcer of the Rainbow Brite album infomercial was Ted Alexander.
That guy is a fast gamer!!!!!
A whopping 112k of memory!
I don't know which is harder when playing Frogger; beating a score of 2000 points or maintaining George Costanza's high score.
Rita Moreno on The Muppet Show was a classic.....her and animal doing Fever LOL is one of the best of the whole series
I.I.N.M., that was the very first episode!
Nobody won the moon patrol cab, what a bummer😅.

You see video games are for everybody not just for children only
Back when life was good, and the American Dream existed.
This old show seems more like an ad disguising itself as a game show. Then a actual game show like nick arcade was.
The Alta Mira Hotel in Sausalito is now a rehab centre, but some of the show staff still stay there!

Yep, tactical error on the kid's part. To his credit though, he took it well

Do a barrel roll
Fly it like you stole it!
40 vs 14?!
That guy can't be more than 30 and the kid is 13.
