Hip hop has gate kept probably more than any other music culture out there so that “we let everybody in” take I hear a lot is absolute cap. With that being said though the reason why a kid like this can come in and say that stupid ish he said is because hip hop has now become world wide pop music worth billions. When something gets this pop you can’t gate keep it even if you wanted to.
@@JaybLive95 HipHop embraces racist rappers, they’re not gatekeeping shit. Meanwhile, anytime a black musician makes a country album, those people block them from billboard, the Grammies the CMJs…
@@DJPain1 I said hip hop isn't gatekeeping any more because it can't. When Dre was listening to the why you working with the yt boy ish it was wasn't because Em was a "racist rapper". Dre listened to himself not "the culture". Like bro lets be real hip hop did that and still tries to but it just can't anymore. Fat Joe isn't a "racist rapper" but you see what happens when he touches on it. Nobody was crying about race when rappers like Ice Cube was making songs like Cave B. But ohhhh no one little "yt boy" as your friend says gets out of line and this "we let in everybody" bs starts. Look at the first line of attack to Drake from Officer Ricky and Kendrick. What do they attack? his ytness. Kendrick made a fn hit out of you're not like us. Im just calling it how it is.

Nobody did the soulful boom bap beats better than 9th wonder , ayatollah, and khrysis. I started making those kindve beats. Easy to make. Trap beats take more skill to make than sampled beats. Looking forward to what the next big style will be. ✌
Trap beats take more skill? Maybe a little more skill than flipping samples but still it's very low on the bar in comparison to most other generes. I wouldn't call it skill using the FL piano roll and drag / dropping drum one shots and an 808. Musical talent has gotten worse since it got easier to produce from home. Pop is mostly I-VI-V-I the whole way through. Skill and musical talent has dropped off a cliff. Check producers like Kashif or Dexter Wansel in the late 70s early 80s, totally on another level to trap.
@@chinering23 trap is a LOT of sound design and music theory these days. Sample makers- so pretty well trained musicians- have taken over that space. Gotta keep up
@@DJPain1 You're giving them too much credit. It's 4 to 8 bar melody, bounced, resampled, reversed then slap a cableguys half time on it. They have no skill compared to the funk / soul / post disco boogie records played by musicians and not by a piano roll.

I’m sick of these silly young white boys lowkey taking a shot at black music. He ain’t slick.
Aren't you trying to get out of anything that might have been made with a splice sample or all of that now why you can get some money for it oh yeah it's probably already too late
your co-host saying that the guy dosen't care about the culture is way worse than bro talkin bout producers should stop makin oldschool/soul music. bro seem like a funny dude you can't take a statement like that too seriously, everyone have their fav sub-genres n shi, not a big deal at all. but s/o 2 u pain i fuk w/u heavy bro

Saying well look Country does it too doesn't make it any better lol. Opening up hip hop to other markets is what kept it going. Who bought the majority of albums, tickets, merch? But ohhhh no one little "yt boy" as your friend says gets out of line and this "we let in everybody" bs starts. Look at the first line of attack to Drake from Officer Ricky and Kendrick. What do they attack? his ytness. Kendrick made a fn hit out of you're not like us. Im just calling it how it is.

I feel like I’m right in the middle lol I don’t care for soul beats or boom bap and I definitely don’t like that rage , opium , whatever type shit..buuuuuut I love my trap shit ahhhh 😊❤ trap til the end .
Side note though I think she decided to take it the race way. Why can’t someone that isn’t black state that they don’t like making soul , and boombap beats without someone taking it into a cultural , racial way.. lol it’s not “ ALWAYS “ that deep… he’s a 19 year old White kid that just doesn’t fuck with soul or boombap beats… simple stop taking it left.
Just to clarify, he didn’t say he didn’t like it; he said it was overrated, he hated it, and called it ‘unc shit,’ thereby disrespecting a the very black music lineage that lead to him having a career, all while ironically appropriating semantically and syntactically black colloquial speech
You all directing this based on popularity... Why does someine have to have a big following to be cinsidered good.
No.
@DJPain1 " it was a serious question..Why does someone have to have popularity not do they
Instead of trying to teach everybody how to be a businessman maybe you should just be a businessman and start producing young artists
I guess its because social media changed so much, the marketings mattered more than the music for every individual.
Your thumb nails are click baity often so whilst I know you're bein sarcastic cos I watch your stuff, others will click cos of the thumbnail just to leave a comment and then leave
Nobody did the soulful boom bap beats better than 9th wonder , ayatollah, and khrysis.
I started making those kindve beats. Easy to make. Trap beats take more skill to make than sampled beats. Looking forward to what the next big style will be. ✌
@@Weonlyknewoneway interesting take
Trap beats take more skill?

You actually thought people was gonna even watch it after the title or thumbnail type thing you was crazy. I did not even get past the start or the beginning it was the start and the title. Dude you did it to yourself somewhat to get views and your sarcasm backfired. The end.
That video got 30,000 views, you watched this follow-up video and left a comment, so looks like the backfire isn't on my end
@ dude actually as you already know you got the click but as you know it’s not the starting the video. RUclips also sees who watched it until the end. As you yourself admitted most people like me didn’t even get to the end shoot I stopped at the beginning so what are actually saying??? What more important is the initial click or getting people to watch until the end??? And as a matter of fact what about those who click do not suggest??? Or tell me how many new viewers you gained from your little stunt versus those you lost than come back to me. I’ll wait.
