    One way to explain my thoughts, is I imagine coming into the store. I would be able to see your bias clearly telling me what i should like, prefer, and buy as opposed to just giving me information and letting me decide. One example is that handle on the side of the Traeger, one plus to the big shelf is it will hold all the food that goes off the side lol so I don't see that as a feature, I see it as a bug.

    You should research these at least a little before you try to compare or claim 1 to be better. You misspoke on the Traeger in another video saying the plug was only for the igniter. This video you call it a 40" griddle. It's 33" per Traegers website. I agree the stand and shelves are superior. However.....if you grill much with these you'd quickly realize that what matters most (the tops) that weber is superior at heat distribution. Also I believe the 36" weber DOES have a hinged lid. IMHO the Grease port is in a much better location on the Weber.

      Perhaps he is some kind of genius at 'built in' crap that he sells in your store, but he should not be reviewing items he does not even care about.
      We can argue till we get blisters.... There very fact that he refers to the Traeger, as other commenters have said, as a 40" surface and says that is one of the main reasons he would buy the Traeger ..... And yet, he is referring to to the Weber 36" which is larger than the 33" Traeger model says what we need to know.
      Trevor is a pompous dumbass that sounds more like a bad used car salesman than an expert on any outdoor cooking product

    How much do you value being able to close the lid with food on the grill? Can’t do that with the Weber can you?

    • @jeffwspencer
      @jeffwspencer 2 месяца назад

      to be honest - it's unsafe to close the hood with an operating griddle of any sort --- including the traeger. In fact, there is a warning on the sidetable of the traeger that says "do not close lid while operating a running griddle" Blackstone says you can do it but only for 10 minutes. Weber also says don't do it. Not to say that people don't.... but if you're going to cover your food on the cook top, it's better to get a purpose built hood that you can place on the griddle surface than using the hood. that's just me though. your mileage may vary.

    So to sum it up, you spend $300 more for the Traeger because you think the cart is studier. Then you get worse igniters, you get a stupid griddle top design with absolutely useless handles that will just allow food to be raked outside your cooking field (see Meat Church's video when he did hashbrown omelets for reference), and you have 3 burners for an absolutely massive griddle surface.
    I just honestly don't see the advantage here besides being able to brag that you have a Traeger product. Traeger is late to the game and this griddle doesn't show me anything for its price.
    Weber, I would argue, didn't take the path of Blackstone (which I might add isn't a bad path seeing as they are the market leader). They differentiated themselves from BS with an improved grease trap location (and size), better igniters and a lid being included. Also, the 4 burner 36 inch Weber has a lid on hinges, like the one you bragged about on the Traeger.

    I think you referred to the Weber as the 36" when it was clearly a 28". This channel has potential, but better research, developing a basic script, and checking facts could take these from a 7 out of 10 to a 9 or 10. The Traeger is actually 33", not 40. Having said that, when he hit the other dude on the head in another video using the Weber 28" top, that was priceless.
