Just saw this thinking of getting one for my 2018 430i do you need the DME to be unlocked for it to work all I’ve heard is you don’t but thought I’d ask one more person
Sorry, my fault - I didnt read the 430i part. You’ll be fine to put that in your car without needing the DME unlocked. For example, my 2018 530i is unlocked, but my dad’s 2023 530i is locked. For the people with locked DME’s it looks like there are still opportunities to have them unlocked by some coders and tuners. Just made a quick google search: The "software" locked is for vehicles with DME made before 06/2020. This generally means 2020 and older model years. Sometime in 2019, BMW locked out the ability to tune the vehicle via the OBD port, thus the term "bench unlock".
@@lifeonautosofficial how is it genuinely? being a piggyback the price is great. I was looking at a jb4, but at that price idk if i should grab the dinian, or just aim high for the jb4
I love it to be honest. It’s not a crazy number gain, but you can tell the difference right away when you go from stock to race. Well worth the price, I’m still thinking about going all out with stage 2 or 3 but that’ll require down pipes, etc… before I did this I did my charge pipe with the CTS turbo just to be on the safe side as I wasn’t a fan of the stock plastic one. Cheers 🍻
@ yeah I already swapped my shitty plastic pipe. I got a guy near me tryna sell one for $100 USD, pretty much a steal. It’s a 530, it’s not made to be pushed crazy, and I’m femto locked. For $100 if it’s worth it, ima grab it. $600 for a Jb4 and Bluetooth adapter seems a little too much
Cool video, but 480p is max setting for me
Thanks, I’ll take a look at the settings and see why the resolution is low.

No, not if it’s a pre LCI car! It’s easy plug and play with the pre lci cars.
@ well mine isn’t a pre lci so what’s the big difference as me and your car are the same year and engine

@ ok thank you so much
No problem, have a great day
Hey man, I got a 2021 530i, looking at grabbing the $250 or what ever dinian tuner, is that the same one you’re running?
Hey man, yes that would be the one. It’s the Dinan D440-0047!
