I remember watching this channel as a kid. Napuntahan ko studio nila (PTV 4) to watch PCSO's Talo Na, Panalo Pa hosted by Leo Martinez and Tina Revilla-Valencia.
Every time I see that Birch Tree Thick Cream commercial back then, it really amazes me that much that I'm starting to appreciate the Netherlands. Sayang wala gaanong produkto na ganyan.
Before, PTV 4 aired many American dramas up to the '90's. By 2000's, as I remembered as a kid, the network, later known as NBN 4, aired the most of the American news content from Fox News Channel.
@@FrancisLitanofficialJAPINOY Yep at yung Hallelujah title nga fineture ng Mr. Bean ay ang All Creatures of God And King na isa sa funniest scenes ni Mr. Bean 😊😊
PTV now airs Voice of America content (Stories from the Grid) at 2:15PM with replays at 10:30PM on weekdays, 12:30PM on Saturdays, and 9:30PM on Sundays. It is the only imported program with English audio.
The main reasons why PTV4 slowly pulled out most of its western shows are the ratings and the effects of the PTV Charter. If I remember correctly, PTV's sales and marketing, along with those of other state-controlled channels, were not handled by the network itself until they were eventually transferred to the network. Hirap ding makagalaw lalo't iniiwasan ang red tape at lahat ng financial statements, kailangang audited sa COA.
See 0:37 - Francisco Motors. They created (Saint) John Paul II Pope Mobile for his '95 Papal Visit & made a modern Jeep na mukhang Pinoy Jeepney vs China made mini bus. Francisco & Sarao were cooperative on the PUV Modernization, only to be screwed up by, well. Kasi diumano, di daw "pasado" sa "standard" (ha?!) ang modern jeepney nila.
Goldstar television, that was the old name of what we now know as LG. Awesome!

The earliest airing of Mr. Bean. While Rowan Atkinson's visual comedy show aired on Studio 23, his other show aired on PTV.
It also airs on ABS-CBN (later on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Jeepney TV in 2023), ABC 5 (now TV5), and on Disney Channel Asia on Pay TV.
I watched Mr. Bean on Disney Channel and ABS-CBN when I was 8 years old.
When PTV used to have US series. Kakamiss
Buhay na buhay ang panunuod ng telebisyon noon maraming pag pipilian..ngayon halos pare parehas na lng ng pinapanuod prang iisang channel na lng..
Rowan Atkinson had another show called The Thin Blue Line aired on RPN sometime between 1997-98.
Sa IBC 13 ang matandaan ko. Habang kumakain ng hapunan sobrang tawa.
While Mr. Bean aired on PTV, ABC had "The Baldy Man" during that time too

At siguro kailangan nila magjustify din sa DBM? Na bakit nga naman government station ka pero di pang gobyerno yung pinapalabas mo
