I didn't bother in the original; why bother in this one? Plus, its a given he will not die until Rocket Launcher.
What I did was I shot at him twice, saw it did nothing and ran for my fucking life, it was some scary shit dude.
I love how almost everyones first instinct was *NOT* to fight him lol
Well he does take alot of ammo and unlike the original resident evil 2 he doesn't stay down until your in the next room no this version is stunned for maybe 30 seconds or a minute then gets back up and resumes the chase at least in the original he didn't follow you all over he only appeared at certain times

Fuck It’s not gamer instincts, it’s survival instincts, given that you were put in the same scenario in real life you’d most likely avoid someone who is over 7-feet tall and can lift a helicopter with one arm without breaking a sweat.
Honestly I like how Mr X could literally rip the door off a reinforced steel vault and pulverise it with 2 fingers, yet he opens doors in such a gentlemanly way

I love how literally EVERY gamer I've seen play this says "Leon, you're in trouble" rather than I'm in trouble. I do the same thing. I think we're trying to establish a sense of security by reminding ourselves that it's the pixelated character on screen who's in danger and not ourselves.
For me it's more a sense of stewardship. I'm looking after you, and you are in trouble

How disappointing he was
Last weekend we finished the game with 3 of my friends. One friend was playing and us, the other 3 was watching. At this part we were talking and laughing , i was on the phone when suddenly the Tyrant picked up the helicopter with one hand. It was complete silence in the room,we looked at our friend with the controller, and he was just looking with a blank face and without saying anything, he started to run to the opposite direction. It was funny as hell 😂

One of the best decisions Capcom made was not using dramatic music, stinger or a cutscene for Xs proper introduction. Just silence, a quick show of strength and a two second silent staredown. Then full player pants shitting panic.
Technically his theme start the moment he moves the elycopter.
yeah there is music but its minimalistic and builds tension with more sound effects than melodies. Its fucking sick and doesn't go overboard at all

Nemesis would have a Nuke Launcher instead of a normal Rocket Launcher.

X's introduction is one of the most perfect things in this game. First you get the cutscene that teases but doesn't show him fully. Then you just meet him out of nowhere mid gameplay. No cutscene to break the tension. He's just a sudden walking boss fight.

Tyrants one of the coolest villains I've encountered in a video game. It really puts a sense of panic in you especially when your trying to escape or barely survive an encounter and all you hear is those big clunky foot steps.

I literally just blasted him in the face and ran past him. I played as Claire first, so I had the Grenade Launcher with Flame Rounds, so just pumped him in the face with fire and ran.
