- I really love the many features of the Pet Safe 3-in-1 Harness! Check out my thoughts and a little demo by Knox.
Knox is wearing a size Large. He is about 103lbs and 29 inches tall at the shoulder. I feel most dogs would need a size Medium.

All these treat orientated training videos and tips these days. I have never in my life trained my dogs with so many treats. Just lots of happy joyful praise and they were happy to please. When I got their harnesses out they were overjoyed to pick up each foot to have me put them on. It meant they were going for a ride in the car, and their collars and leashes meant they were going for a walk....of course all I needed to do was say,"Who wants to go for a walk?" and they were at the door before I was! They certainly didn't need treats!
The looks on their faces said, "I'll go anywhere with you!"
I'm glad that works for you! A lot of dogs don't enjoy praise and pets naturally, so using food to reward this is fast and simple. They definitely do learn by association, so it sounds like the associated putting harnesses on with fun adventures!
I do agree with u. It all depends on the dog and the relationship between u two. My pup is a stubborn fella (husky) but will usually listen without treats. If i want to speed things up i either sweet talk him, distract him or lastly give him a treat. All dogs are different but i do agree that several owners seem to be giving treats right away to get their dogs to do anything. Lol i will feel very sorry for them if they ever run outta treats!
These work really well for small, but not tiny dogs, too. I think the smallest dog I've used one on was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy. Great video. Knox is a doll!
Thank you for the video. I was not sure if I had it on correctly, but your video was very informative. Thank you.
What a beautiful, calm dog you have! I was hoping you were going to demonstrate all 3 features ("3-in-1 harness"), the third being the car restraint feature.
Thanks! I actually don't have any back seats in my car to demo with. I will borrow a friend's car and dog to add that! The harness has a short leash/handle that clips on and you run a seat belt through it.
Great review, thank you!
You are welcome!
We just got these for our two walker coonhouds. We had been using the ParSafe Gentle Leaders for over a year and they have been working great and prevented pulling for the most part, but one of them started chafing on their snout and created a sore so we got these as an alternative. This morning was our first walk with their harnesses and we’re not sure if we got the wrong size or not because the harnesses just seemed to twist on their bodies and didn’t prevent our younger pup from pulling at all. We measured them and went by their weight and got them both mediums. Not sure if we’re not tightening them enough or what we need to do? Any advice is appreciated!
Hey Derek! Make sure it's fitted to where you can just get 2 fingers under the harness. You might also try clipping the leash to both the harness and the collar to keep it centered.
@@bangarangbri thank you! We will give this a shot!
Does it rub under his front legs? My dog ends up sore and bleeding from most harnesses. She is 64 pounds.
i like to know this too
It had soft padding and does not hurt their underarms. My dog, a lab, weighs 120 pounds.
@@j.m.3752 Your dog is massively overweight then. The absolute max weight for male labs is 36 kg! :O
