I built this fairly easy, and I can tell it works flawllesly, I only changed 1.5k resistor parallel to potentiometer with 2.2k for more precise temp selection but it is not necessary. I pluged it to ATX power suply to 18V (plus terminal to +5V(red wire) and minus terminal to -12V(blue wire)). Max current draw is about 2.8A, and it heats up from cold to 370 C in 35 sec. I have 6 soldering irons(four stations) and this is the best and costs less than 5$(ebay handle 3$, rest of components about 2$ on Tayda). Well done my friend.

Looks good. I would have just used regular wire, but then I suppose you could say it is kind of like have a pcb board with chunky traces. But hey, as long as it works. The only problem with some like this is you need another soldering iron to create this one. But, I might give this a try.
The last one you created, I had tried both versions and both worked Great! I can not wait to do this one also. You come up with the easiest way to make these project! Keep up the Good Work! Your the master at these with the Thermistors(907F) versions, would be awesome if your next project you make one for the thermocouple(907A) Versions.
I executed the circuit exactly, and when connected to more than 4 volts, I found one of the resistors connected to the variable resistance, and its value 2.2 got hot and burned.. I checked the whole circuit and I don't know why
Hi. I am not sure my circuit can work with your pen but my circuit can work good with any pen have 30_50 ohm of sensor inside Pen. Please check your pen

Esto es un enrredo, estoy igual, no titila el LED, enciende de una vez, no regula con el potenciómetro, tres veces he realizado el proyecto y no logro hacerlo funcionar.
