If u want to qualify a welder for all position means, u should prepare a test coupon with 6g position or 2g+5g positions... and the same welder who qualify for diameter means, for example u want to qualify that welder for 1/2inch dia , then u shall prepare that test coupon with 1/2inch dia pipe..
