I didnt like it at first. Seeing it in the flesh helped and I like it now. Very bold, different and stands out over other super nakeds. Dont think ill ever love it tho. Too many angles it doesn't look great. Didnt stop me buying one yesterday tho !

Agree that they absolutely rooted the front end styling on this. Doesn't sit in with the other H2 models, yet they still could have come up with something better for its own Z identity
The design is perfect, don't know why you don't see the perfect look of excellent wind reflection and keeping a balance that I like a lot. My next purchase is the H2

I just discovered that the H2 engine is DUAL-COUNTERBALANCED. The ZX-14/R and Concours14 are also dual-counterbalanced. I bet the 998cc H2 is very smooth. This bike is the only time since the first introduction of the H2-series bikes that I've actually considered an H2 bike. It's right mid-pack in price which is amazing. I really like the new Z- styling headlights. They are clean, sharp, and finally symmetrical with the LED backlighting.

I think that I would rather take this than the V4 Streetfighter, even though the Ducati is way lighter and I don't like heavy bikes, but most importantly, the V4 is better equipped . But I think that the new Duke 1290 R is the best of them

Probably have it dynoed and flashed, it will probably have well over 230 HP just like the H2SX. look up the video, the guy got over 240 HP at the wheel!!
Awesome that a B1 Lancer bomber flew over the testing grounds. You must have been near Edwards AFB. I turned 41 on the 10th. There’s no way I can afford any model of supercharged H2.

I have to say that as an older rider (65 uggg!) and been riding since 1976, I have learned to control a motorcycle properly without the need for all the current electronic "helpers" modern bikes have. Honestly, all I really appreciate (safety wise) is ABS. Don't need anti-wheelie, power modes, cornering lights,lean angle sensors, etc. One of the reasons I LOVE my 2016 Suzuki Bandit 1250S. Just ABS.
Personally i believe Kawasaki nailed the look. I wanted a Japanese bike. Make no mistake the ZH2se looks the part...exceptionally! I wanted a perfectly balanced squid missile and the ZH2se fits the bill perfectly. I'm waiting for delivery of my ZH2se. Cheers!
I'm still one of those people who owns and rides superbikes pre abs and TC etc etc so when I ride the new stuff I switch it all off as I've never relied on it in the first place and become complacent.

Honda is a respectable motorcycle brand and the new cbr rr r is ducati level performance with reliability thrown in. Price is on point for what you get.
@@carlosandleon Everyone thinks reliability is free. Also a lot of delusional folks think Ducati's reliability has apparently become the same as Honda's. So yeah everyone talks a big game about that sadly. The RR is literally for racers. The base bike is what most folks should be buying. Anything beyond that is a halo machine for folks to gain the edge while racing competitively which is also why its bloody uncomfortable. Irony is no one complained about that cause most of these folks complaining haven't ridden a proper track machine.
Yes I don't like that front that much either but it's livable, I can just tint out that headlight so it's not that noticeable, but other than that it's a pretty nice Bike. I also think they should have mimic the air vent on the left and also put it on the right, so the design doesn't look weird the right side could be redirected to the engine for more cooling thus more power or it will maintain it's power, we all know engine gets hot doesn't produce that power anymore, that exhaust just get an aftermarket one.
Lets just talk about aesthetics. I'm an XSR900 rather than an MT09 type of guy. I like 7" round front headlights. Yes i'm a Luddite. Regardless of tech and performance, this thing is the King of Fugly Transformers. Edit, still loved the review John...
Z900 already giv so much. Now,take this z9 H2. The aeros on 2020 z900 already improve so much,which u wouldnt feel so much air hitting ur chest,this one, another level. Plus, the u got the power down low n goes straight up
I'm 100% with you John, if they would have just put the current Z1000 headlight on it, and attached it to the forks instead of the frame so that it swivels with the handlebar (as a true streetfighter should), this bike would have not just performed but also looked killer!! With this Tuono style permanently fixed headlight cowl design it just looks proportionally challenged. Ironically the new StreetFighter copied the Z1000 headlight and it look epic because of it! I guess I'll wait for the facelift model because that front end is just NOT growing on me. Maybe a test-ride will change that.

Egg back home on Christmas day 2017 I was doing 165+ across the Forest Hill bridge, 175 down HWY 80 just before Sierra College BLVD and had just done 140 on HWY 50 coming from the mercedes benz dealer heading into Sacramento following a car at 90mph the highway patrol came up my left side and ask me to keep it down a little. With his hand. Fun Christmas Day 2017 . All the bad things I have done on a bike added up I would get life in Jail. I have a ton of storys to tell !
I think the thing to do, is wait till next year when Kawasaki do a remake on the bike, shed some weight, drop the ugly front, fit proper brembo's and a lighter smaller exhaust maybe it will sell better, at £16,000 its half the price of a full H2, So its built to a budget.
The looks are growing on me (no, it's not cancer). Aside from the directly front on view, I think it looks alright now. Have to catch one in the flesh. I wonder if it'll have any success, or disappear like the B-King after a few years? Naked "hyperbikes" seems like a pretty small, niche category.
Nice review. Although while I'm sure it's an absolute weapon & has loads of potential for further crazy tuning, why does it have to look like Quasimodo!?!
Good review if naked was my thing then this would be top of the list as for the head light I am neutral on the looks but then again its not a big different to the Ducati head light assembly.
Honestly a little 'bulk' is going to go a long way to settle this monster down a tad, make it stable, give it some needed solidity. Power is of ZERO concern so the weight won't be a problem if the handling is lithe enough. I sat on one of these at the IMS show in my area. I didn't have any concerns about the feeling of weight tossing it around a bit while parked. I'm 6-2" and 190 pounds, however.

Couldn't sit on the display bike and "flick" it side to side as they were securely bolted to a steel support stopping show goers from possibly knocking it over. Hope to purchase one for this season.
That front , oh dear , doesn't look like its part of the supercharged H2 range . Maybe a small Aprilia Tuono size screen with the H2 light would of been much more pleasing on the eyes.

It's kind of a subtle, understated sophistication look to it. It's not raucous and brash and ostentatious like a Super Duke or Streetfighter or MT-10.

I hated this new Z , but with that gorgeous soundtrack you made me love it !!

Would be interested to know how you were able to hang on at 160mph without getting blown off the back of the bike.
For such a bulky bike, I think with an aftermarket pipe it'll look great!
Honestly a little 'bulk' is going to go a long way to settle this monster down a tad, make it stable, give it some needed solidity. Power is of ZERO concern so the weight won't be a problem if the handling is lithe enough. I sat on one of these at the IMS show in my area. I didn't have any concerns about the feeling of weight tossing it around a bit while parked. I'm 6-2" and 190 pounds, however.
@@exothermal.sprocket I too sat on one ,at the New York City motorcycle show and it fit me perfectly. I'm only 5'8" and about 190. Couldn't sit on the display bike and "flick" it side to side as they were securely bolted to a steel support stopping show goers from possibly knocking it over. Hope to purchase one for this season.
Idk why but I have a feeling that Yamaha is gonna answer with turbocharged bikes in the near future!
That front , oh dear , doesn't look like its part of the supercharged H2 range . Maybe a small Aprilia Tuono size screen with the H2 light would of been much more pleasing on the eyes.
Looks are subjective.. ZH2 Is good enough to carry the Z badge.... Still i like the z1000 more.. But zh2 is pretty fine looking too
