      Hi@@pomdejesus8150, As noted in an earlier post, we don't recommend the subwoofer kit with the Road King kits because the wiring harnesses are designed to install the amplifier in the brake side bag for both kits. Unfortunately, we won't be able to provide assistance with modifying the wiring system since we don't recommend these two kits being used together.

      @rockfordfosgate  Год назад

      Hi Daniel, This aftermarket subwoofer kit includes installation for 2 subwoofers/enclosures, but you can remove one or both subwoofer enclosures for extra luggage space. These add-on kits require an existing Rockford Fosgate aftermarket STAGE-2, STG-2, or STG3 already installed on the bike. All the kits are compatible with the Boom! Audio 4.3, 6.5 GT and GTS factory source units.

    Trying to install now but my tm400x4 doesn’t have the rear input wires going to the amp . Only the front input and those are going to the pods . Any help would be highly appreciated . 2014 street glide

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  5 месяцев назад

      If your Street Glide does not have rear saddlebag speakers, then the rear inputs may have not been plugged in. You'll need to search along the Rockford Fosgate T-Harness and look for the Green/Purple wires labeled REAR INPUT. These are near the FRONT INPUT harness you already identified. You can connect this harness used for the REAR INPUT directly to the SUBWOOFER INPUT harness.

      If you have the HDBL69VB, it likely won’t fit because the PS69 speakers used in that kit use large ceramic ferrite magnets. The subwoofer enclosures are only designed to work with the Rockford Fosgate TMS69 speakers with compact (yet just as powerful) neodymium magnets.

      @@dextersimmons6020 Thanks for that info and thank you for your continued support of Rockford Fosgate! The models you mention are high sensitivity / low moving mass drivers that are literally derivatives of [cheap] pro-audio type drivers. They are loud because they have a high sensitivity making them great for parking lot listening. They get a lot of praise in forums because these are store owners that are selling these speakers. We know, because we sponsor Harley-Davidson Forums and we see the comments, and the people making those comments. They are simply promoting what they have to sell.
      The unique design of the TMS speakers is they are not repurposed car audio, nor repurposed pro-audio drivers. We engineered them from the ground up specifically for motorcycle audio use. We measured the noise response on Arizona highways up to cruising speed. This includes wind, exhaust, and tire noise. We then customized the frequency response around these noise issues, so you can actually hear your music while riding your Harley. The sensitivity on the TMS65 and TMS69 are 94 dB and 92 dB (2.83V @ 1 meter), proving they have the responsiveness of a pro-audio driver. This provides the best of both worlds... a LOUD, responsive speaker, custom frequency tailored so you can actually hear your music while on the highway, not just the parking lot.

    How will the connectors fit if u have air ride connected on the rear right and left of the bike?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  3 года назад +2

      Hi Leon, great question! We're assuming your tank is mounted behind the absorbers, correct? Generally, it shouldn’t be an issue. It will depend on [where] and [how] the air tank(s) are mounted. We would recommend a test fit, or at least, looking at an installed set-up since air-rides can be installed in various configurations.
      We will be at Sturgis with these subwoofer kits on display. If you will not be at the rally, check with your local Authorized Rockford Fosgate dealers to see which ones have them on order (we started shipping this week). I'm certain a local dealer would be able to help once they receive their first orders to verify fitment. You can find Rockford Fosgate dealers at www.rockfordfosgate.com/dealerlocator/.

      It not a "plug-n-play" system with Road King, so we don't have that on our compatibility chart. The issue is, the amplifier is in the saddlebag location where the subwoofer amplifier will reside. The entire bulkhead wiring system would need to be removed and the amplifier relocated.
