My dad had 1 just like it. he used it back in the 60s and 70s. he bored 1 out with me in the 80s.and used the stone to sharpen the bit. it was a slow prosses boring the 460. but somthing i will never forget!
Thanks Tom, Sadly it came with no tooling. I'm probably going to put it on Craigslist at some point. Thought it might be handy for boring tube sections or plates, but I can do most of that on the Bridgeport. I need to free up some space. ATB -Dean
I know quite a few hit and miss old engine guys. It might come in handy helping out those guys. Probably going to be a challenge coming up with some affordable tooling. Hay I checked out your shop tour, Looks real nice, that shaper is awesome ! Dean

I used to set the auto stop on bar and put a head in the lempco 545 with auto return and CUT IRON.
Man that brings back memories. I bored hundreds of cylinders on one similar to that back in the 60s/70s.

Started looking for used tooling. Holy smokes it's pricey $$$. At least it came with one cutter.

what would you call the metal bar that gives the cutting tool bar it's rotation ?
My guess would be drive rod or drive shaft
