Hi, everyone!! When I say put things IN the instrument, I mean... around the bridge - soft things. I'm NOT TALKING ABOUT F HOLES. DON'T PUT ANYTHING IN YOUR F HOLES!!! Thanks!! :)

Fun stories! I’m from Albuquerque so I regularly see Aaron at the shop. I was wondering if you might remember Mark Tatum from the Santa Fe Opera bass section? He was one of my private teachers in high school.

Of course! Mark and I were stand partners in Santa Fe Opera for four summers! He's a wonderful guy, and a wonderful stand partner. Tell Aaron that I say hello next time you see him. I hope you're well!

I live in Albuquerque now and I also know Aaron from the shop, and I'm currently taking lessons from Mark (jazz focus)! Small world! Joseph, I really like how real and relaxed you are in your videos. It's feels like a friendly conversation unlike the highly rehearsed and edited videos on most channels :)

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you appreciate the channel because I don't have time to rehearse or highly edit them... And I wouldn't want that to be the case. What you see is authenticity, and that's what you'll always get! Please tell Aaron and Mark I say hello, and thanks for watching! 😁

A colleague once looked at my nice Siegfried Finkl and paraphrased Minnie Minoso, "bass bow has been berry, berry good to me!'

I have a story too!! Is kinda funny... My music school gave mh my first bow and my first bass, so the bow and the vass werent mine, and in a travel, GOI g to other city, the transporters broke my bass, un the neck, on the half position, and in that moment I didnt have then money for buying a bass so I played for 2 years, since 1 grade of profesional until the start of third, a broken bass

Wow! It's amazing the bass was still playable. I hope when it was fixed that playing got easier!

was the spiccatto point the same as it was before it was broken? It looks really far out there. I'm just wondering if 2 years later you realized that after the tip broke off and the repair job...it's not so great....despite the stories we tell ourselves. I know I've lived a lie a time or two...broke a neck off a bass once and believed it sounded better after the repair! lol. hell, maybe it did. or maybe I got better.
    ...opinions man.

    Hi Joeseph!
Nice vid! I still want to see the other 3 bows! I want to know, what do you like about them, what music do you use them for! Also that covering you have over the stick and the frog... how does that help? Sorry I know I'm an info spnoge! Thanks Steve

You only need to turn the "camera" 90 degrees, then you and the bow will be seen....
