- Are you on fire for Jesus? Are you in love with Him? Are you cultivating that relationship daily? Or is it just something you get excited about on Sundays?
This world will throw many distractions at us and it is hard to stay on that narrow path, but with the power of the Holy Spirit, we can create a discipline in our lives to keep that fire alive for the one who gave up everything for us.

Last summer I went on my very first mission trip for the first time; in Zambia. That was my first real experience with preaching the gospel and moving in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Since then I've been baptized with the Holy Ghost and totally on fire for God. Pursue Him daily in reading His word, worshiping, praying, evangelizing; anything that He calls you to do, do it, because He loves you and His plan is good. One thing I've found very helpful is fasting, I typically fast for a day, about once every month or two. The voice of God becomes much stronger, and I feel so close to Him and the Spirit moves so powerfully. I fasted today and the Lord revealed to me that I will one day be a father
Amen to all of that!! Fasting here and there definitely puts the flesh in submission to the spirit. Thank you for that feedback ❤
Can't lose that fire for the Lord
Amazing message
God bless
I wish I was on fire for Jesus. I don't feel on fire though. I'll need to pray about this.
@@PolymorphicPenguin read pray fast seek Him with your whole heart mind body soul ♥️ it happens naturally when He is made to be the purpose of everything we do!
I'm sure God has led me to you Sarah.... You speak from your heart... It's all about a daily connection with our heavenly Father..❤.❤❤
Thank you very much. I am a catholic but I love your videos.

Jesus loves you
May God be with you in sorting things out and confronting the persons in your daily laundry list. :)
You are beautiful outside and inside
I love Sarah's face. It's like a beacon.
I find that going to the river ( I live next to Niagara Falls) or anywhere in nature with a peaceful vibe is prayer fuel for me. I refrain from RUclips or news on Sundays. I also left social media years ago and that has helped to open up the space I needed for giving thanks and staying connected to God. I really dig your energy and passion for Jesus it's very inspiring Sarah .. thanks and Love to all.
Ah yess being in nature is so invigorating and provokes me to prayer as well!
I give you credit for leaving social media, it is definitely one of those things that can become a distraction - that is a good tip to share - thank you! and thank you for the kind words.
I appreciate your authenticity and honesty, i just wanted to share some things ive been learning reading Pauls epistles. We arent just servants, we are co heirs, Read Ephesians again, and its beautiful that everything Christ is, we now have because we are co heirs with Christ. I think that the generic language we use in christianese such as "on fire for Jesus" it's not accurate, it's about what He has done, his finished redemptive work on the cross, not what we do. Because we all have seasons, we can't judge on the outward , even our emotions. We cannot judge if someone is what we would consider "on fire" we can't cultivate anything, He is the one who is the fire in us. He is cultivating, we can't cultivate anything. we can't conjure up anything but filthy rags as Paul says, we put too much focus on ourselves. God puts the armor on me, not me deciding to, He must increase, I must decrease. We already have everything, we don't have to work to get Him, we already have Him. And all we can do is thank him. Loving God, means letting Him love you. We don't realize we already have Him in us institutional Christianity is a lie, to keep you working for something you already have. If we would just read Paul more I don't understand why 99% of churches don't preach this. We are only worthy because Jesus is worthy. He is what God sees not me, the moment you are saved, you have all the riches in Christ. Focus on what He has done, not what we think we need to do for God, we can't do anything to make him love us more, but unfortunately we are so self focused. The only thing we can do is get in the word, I'm not doing anything man says, but what the Bible says. Obeying means accepting the gospel and accepting the finished redemptive work on the cross. It's all grace or it's all works. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. Disobedience is not accepting God's free gift of grace, thinking we can help God. He knows we are weak, we don't rightly huge the flesh, which means knowing in me there is no good thing, only Christ. he is our life.
I really appreciate you taking the time to express this. I agree with everything that you are saying in that there is nothing we can do to make Him love us, nothing we can do to earn anything, we are ALREADY secure in our salvation! This whole message in this video is about a completely different topic. If you read throughout the new testament there is a general theme that the sign of a follower of Christ is their FRUIT. Jesus commanded us to go and produce good fruit! Knowing Him more makes us want to do this naturally. The fruit blesses us others and the Kingdom of God and the process pulls into a deeper connection with God. However the fruit is not what saves us and no where in my video do I imply that.
"On fire for Jesus" is not a biblical term, of course. The phrase however references passion for Him. It calls us to question how in love with Him we are and the reason this is important to examine is because the love of other things can take the place of Him without even realizing it. I see this happen to many christians who get lazy and it has happened to me in the past. We become indistinguishable from the world when we are called to be Holy. We are called to be transformed.
I have witnessed too many Christians who would say the same exact things you are and their lives look nothing like Jesus. It becomes lazy and fruitless because no effort is made to seek Him and I question if they have even encountered Jesus. Yes faith alone is what saves us but that faith, that love that fire that passion that we have for Jesus ignites us to want to produce good fruit, to use our gifts, etc. That is the whole message in this video.
Paul tells us to work out our salvation in Philippians 2:12 not FOR it. In greek that word WORK is an active verb, continuous ongoing. How beautiful that God is always working in us! We absolutely have a choice to be stubborn about it OR to submit to God and step forward in faith. Similarly, the greek word for Abide is a continual dwelling, making your home in. This is something we do. Jesus said Abide in me and I will abide in you.
In the book of James: Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. There is a consistent theme that we have something to initiate, something to do in this relationship with the Lord after the fact of salvation and we should be excited about it! I don't see many christians excited about it and that prompted me to make this video. I also made this as a warning for myself to never get lazy in my faith to remember what am I sewing into daily and how much of it honors God?
So yes we are saved by grace but then we must be active in our Abiding, in the Working out of our salvation, we must seek him daily and put on the full armor (all with the help of the Holy Spirit) How would that build us and produce the fruit of self-discipline if we took the attitude of, well because of the finished work of Christ I don't need to do anything now.True, nothing you can do in terms of salvation but after that it's a life of spiritual discipline through allowing God to work in us daily.
In Eph 4:23 let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God - We are being instructed to LET to PUT, so we need to make room in our lives for the Holy Spirit to work we need to put on that new nature daily and do away with our old ways. Galations 5:16 LET the Spirit guide your lives. Paul seems to be repetitive because he surely knows that we have the ability to NOT let the Holy Spirit lead us and start giving into the flesh even after salvation. There is clearly much to do on our part (that we should passionate about if we really know Jesus) and while we cannot get caught up in the doing we need to stay vigilant and awake for the enemy is very deceptive and I am sure he can't stand when a Christian is active in working our their salvation and using their gifts, I am sure he would much rather the body of Christ take a back seat and say Welp, nothing I need to do now!
Again Thank you for your comment as it does make a great point although a completely separate topic from the message God put on my heart here. I hope this clarified and I hope you are blessed in many ways!
Do what u want in this earth jus remember what Jesus had to go tru and how many people there was then and how many there is now we the people will never back down no matter what government is in control be fierce jus your mind and let your body have the ability to follow we all all Jesus just need some hope and love peace and happiness

YA I know EXACTYL what you mean. When i describe falling in love I use what I experienced I fell in love with a gal named Kimberly when I was 20 and I would find out everything i could about her I would frequent places I know she would haunt just to run into her. There was a laundromat across the stree from her house and for two months I kept a basket of dirty clothes so I could have an excuse to run into her. peopel call that stalking these days but i didnt have any nefarious intention I just wanted to be with her and she liked me back, her friends were the problem drawing her away from me even after she professed being in love with and I was heart broken her "friend" was a real piece of work. Years later after my wife cheated on me and I left her I ran into Kimberly and she had a bunch of kids in tow and she said "I love you Aaron" and I got so angry and i regret how I reacted to her. makes me wonder if I realyl had loved her at all? But if I could I would hug her now and tell her the same.
Hehe I pause it to make a comment and then un pause and you say what I just typed.
Ya she says it levels out and it does but thats why its SOOOOO important to study the word of God because it strengthens your faith the experience alone will not sustain you
"man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that procceds from the mouth of God". Study it I will give you something I never had and wish that i did have back then.

I agree! this is why I study and am held accountable at a great church. Something I wish I would have done early on. Thank you for sharing that video I am definitely going to listen !
@@sarahspeaksup I started going to a church quite a few times. The first time at 18 I was going to AA and trying to get off drugs and I met this woman and it turned into a relationship then premarital sex and it ended badly, the next time YEARS later I went to church and they started following me around ubiquitously they would just be there and the sermons would be all if you camer here looking for a wife (which I wasnt because i just got divorced) then you come to the wrong place and every sermon would be about something In my life like I worked as a cook in a bar and grill and his next sermons was about asomeone working in a beer joint and eventually they just pissed me off andf offended me with veiled mockery to the point to where i stopped going. That Chruch doesnt exist anymore, the pastors wife left him for his best friends and took 80k from the church treasury. Every Church i go to they start in on me as if they know me but they dont> I read the Bible for myself and discovered that I AM the church as is ALL who are in Christ and then I discovered that even the way churches are set up including the day of the week of worship( which doesnt matter about the day) is set like a temple to Ba'al with a raised platform and the acolytes below. This is not how the early Church operated. So I just dont go to those places because if I did I would have to stand at the door if I wanted to be Where jesus is at.
so weird I left a comment and RUclips ghosted it. Happens all the time. When I talk about these topics my comments often disappear. This website is evil 🤦♂

@@heythere6983 oh wow. Okay 👌
@@sarahspeaksup Even though I have been close to God for many years, there have been moments where there is a sort of quantum leap in understanding. It took me a while to get to this place where I feel I can retain the sensation of the Holy Spirit's joy constantly. Iv felt his presence/joy before and had a constant state of peace, but more recently there is a strong sense of giddy joy when finally managing to retain and preserve this feeling day in and day out.
I am getting more and more excited to know what's available to us, this sort of perfect joy in everyday living, but joy with a direction. I get excited to think of a better version of me and ironing out wrinkles here and there. I get excited to think of polishing up what's already decent. I still get more and more convicted over little things. All the gifts he gives us, they just keep growing. Its good to try to repent as soon as you sin, to feel the forgiveness and cleansing sensation. He teaches us how far and deep "listening" goes. I see the world falling apart but I feel protection. I see how lukewarm or distant people are to him and how vain the world is but I feel fulfilled and warmth. Praying constantly without ceasing is easy when we realize prayer can be a prayerful mindset, knowing he's there, asking, receiving, living up to his teachings, reminding, repenting, constant inquiring and communion, conversing, pondering the things of God.
We really have the "secret" to a beautiful life.
How can I contact you sis?

Your lips look like they have burns on them. Looks like crack pipe burns did God deliver you from cocaine addiction? When i was 16-19 during the mid 80's to early 90's I got hooked on that stuff. I was into drugs from an early age really; pot first at the age of 9 alcohol at 10, amphetamine at 14 and crack at 16. Then when I was 19 I saw what i had become so I just prayed I mean with everything in me and then about 12 hours in I had this experience I cant describe it but it filled me and the pain and emptiness left. I recall clearly how something else tried to interfere i think was the demons spirit of the Catholic(false) virgin mary and rejected it and called upon Jesus and it kept trying to intrude but I rebuked it then the fear fell upon me and I wasn't even breathing like I was dead and then peace and joy entered into me and Jesus gave me that and now I could do drugs if I wanted to and not need them in fact to prove it to my now deceased friend i did just that once in my 20's when the opportunity presneted itself and I had about 500 dollar at the time and I took a hit of it and that was it. Before I wouldnt have been able to do that. I did smoke until about five years ago i think? I dont recall because Im not keeping track of it but i told this same experience to a friend of my brother and he said "You still smoke" and i said ok well now I quit then i went some see some friends and his wife Christian said " you cant quit" and i said "YOURE RIGHT!" and I smoked her Marlboro lights playing cards until about 2 AM then I said "now i quit" and havent since.
So if thats why you have that on your lips I told you this because I dont want you to think i judge you or anything but I just want to give you hope if youre struggling with that particular sin(exrteme selfishness).
If you are then take it seriously and see that its life and death and pray until the breathrough come and dont stop put everything else aside and he WILL do for you what he did for me.
With all the love I can muster,
Aaron.
Hi Aaron, than you for sharing that story. Really amazing that God saved you from that. The scars on my lips are from blisters and not from crack. I am very transparent about everything I struggled with in my testimony which is the very first video on my youtube channel if you would be interested.
While I appreciate your comment, I highly recommend that you approach others' issues with more discernment moving forward. It could come across us unloving and insensitive to call out someone's potential deep traumatic issue on a public comment section and I would like to help you avoid hurting someone's feelings. You could have privately emailed me something like this if you were truly concerned or curious. Anytime I am speaking with someone about something that could be sensitive or taken the wrong way I think of 1 Corinth 16:14 and I ask myself am I doing this with love? Is it the way that Jesus would do it or say it?
NOPE! When the Bible says I will baptize you with the holy ghost and fire The fire is for the refining so if you're on fire for Jesus that means you're being disobedient and he is putting you through the flames to purify you. SO no right now at this particular time Im not "on fire" for Jesus. I know what YOU mean by it but I also know you didnt get the meaning of it so I have now told you
grace and mercy be upon you.
Understood that the word fire in scripture can be a metaphor for God refining us. I agree with that! It can also be used in scripture to describe one's passion, one gifts. Take a look at 2 Tim 1:6 - Paul instructs Timothy to "fan into the flames the gifts". Take a look at Revelation 3:15-16 where Jesus talks about being a lukewarm temperature. We should be hot or "on fire" for Christ. It is a metaphor used in many ways throughout scripture. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Give up
Jesus loves you
