    What a refreshing video, in a world of "Archie Hamilton" style videos. Mega. And credit to that Philippa girl for re-wiring her own house.

    Never been a fan of the mini, but at the car show here in Brussels the JCW did hit a soft spot with me. Very much enjoying your New series, ‘a girls guide to’, you found a Nice little slot in the ‘car scene’, and you don’t make it to ‘Girly’, that wouldn’t suite your character anyway. Keep up the good work! Your editing has also grown significantly :)

    I’ve only recently subscribed to your channel and it was great to watch this vlog. I started as an apprentice and am now engineering through many years of learning and gaining qualifications. So proud to see those apprentices learning their trade.
    All good Queen B.

    Great video....I live in oxford and know loads of people who’ve done the apprenticeships,one good friend did one six years ago now earns over £70k there and there car scheme is great too....

      Looks like a neat car for a college student or other young person. But I think your friend is going to want something more like an s4.

    • @daveybaby10
      @daveybaby10 6 лет назад +1

      AntBear13 needs to be a bmw or mini to get one on there car scheme,it’s great for young people as for £200 pcm you get a new Mini Cooper and it’s taxed and insured.....if your under 30 that’s a amazing chance to drive something nice

    • @antbear13
      @antbear13 6 лет назад +1

      200 pounds a month to drive that car .... that’s a hell of a deal! In America you’d be looking at $600-800 a month, even for a lease for it with the insurance.

    Well Done Queen B ! I thought this video was going to be an evaluation of a JCW Mini, but you delivered so much more. Skill training opportunities, plus the value of a technical education for all, does so much to empower the youth of today .

    Great video I really enjoyed it well done! Having owned two Abarth’s (one 2010 500, one 2016 180 comp) the F56 is a totally different sort of car. Much much more refined, which probably leads to some of the feeling of it not being so quick. Which the JCW still very much is! Enjoyed looking round the factory 👍

    What a superb video! Great to see the inside of the factory and get an insight into the apprentice section at Mini. Also love the honesty about the JCW and how it didn't quite live up to your perceived expectation. Doesn't mean it's a bad car, just not what you'd think. Thanks for sharing!

    i owned a 2017 JCW convertible for about a year here in sunny california. It was fun, but I agree it's a bit too tamed and composed. And the steering a bit too dead. It's almost there tho. I think it should just have standard the JCW special exhaust and maybe a chip to get 30-40hp more.

    Great Vid Queen B. Know exactly what you mean about the JCW. I drive one as my daily and I thought I’d lacked the manic fel. I have now had a Schnitzer engine and suspension tune. It’s like a different car now. Goes round corners like it’s on rails and the power to go with it. Thinking of doing this to my M2.

    I would not buy the mini as a town car. I like the way it looks and the fact that I can customize it the way I want it. I want a three tone paint job and I want stripes. I also like the toggle switches and the interior in general. I only drive in town; never in the country, and we don't have curvy roads here. For me it's all about style and appearance. When I walk out the house everyday, I want to see a car that makes me feel good and happy I bought it. Right now I drive a Civic: a car that looks like every other car on the road. A great car to drive, but that's about it.

    Great video with honest, individual words and critics towards the product. But lets be honest, perhaps 80% of owners of this copy does not even know what JCW really depicts! Sound system? There was only one sound system in the 60's, and that was coming from the engine bay!!

    Well now, first at the very least clean your windows! Brakes not big enough? Have you taken a look at them, they are huge and powerful. Tourquey engine? How about max torque at 1250 revs in a flat line rough up to around 6,000 revs-so useable.
    I drive a JCW and it’s an amazing car, good and flexible to be a comfy daily driver, and awesome in sport mode and driven well.
    Sorry I couldn’t watch all of this vid. I know it wasn’t just a car review, but at least give it some proper thought.
    I’m gonna go for a drive in my JCW now to calm down😊

    I bought my first Mini in 2004 brand new and loved it. Exchanged it for a brand new one in 2008 which was the biggest mistake ever. I hated it. Horrible car. Not a Mini at all. My mistake for not taking it for a test drive first. It felt big, heavy, cheap inside, plastic cheap feeling to It, didn't corner very well, just didn't drive like a Mini anymore. Had it for 4 months before I sold it. Stayed away from Mini until April 2017 when I treated myself to a 2005 Mini Cooper. Love it. Needs some tlc but love it. So far I have added a performance exhaust, replaced the half leather seats for full leather sports seats, new breaks pads all round, and just today several hundred pounds worth of work to the engine that was needed. It's a lovely car though. These new Minis and not mini's. Bloody horrible cars to drive and horrible to look at inside although they do look great on the outside.

    Sadly i hate the mini. Hatw is too strong, i don't understand the love for them.
    For me, It works only on country roads. Its really fun. However in town, where most middle class women drive them, the steering is far too heavy making the car feel huge in town, making it a shit town car. Also on the motorway the old 5 speed was horrible. Loud, not in a nice way, and to stiff for a longer trip.
    But in the lanes, and probably on track, they handle great . sadly for me i don't think they work anywhere else. And i won't mention the option costs on the things.
    They do look the part tho.

    As a huge MINI Fanboy i completely agree! I‘m driving a 2006 R53 JCW and tested both the R56 (not as puristic but also nice) as well as the the new F56. Sorry, this isn‘t a MINI at all. I was completely dissapointed how this „MINI“ feels. No soul, absolutely synthetic feeling and bulky look (and feel...). Sorry BMW, thats a car built for commercial success, not for fans :-(
