I just got one of these gimbles for my RUclips channel and I love it I do some B roll on my channel and it works great for that to get those nice smooth footage
you can put this in portrait mode by simply manually tilting the camera vertically with your hand, note: will not work in POV mode but works in all other modes

picked this up too, i hope their firmware updates are on point, an elbow charging port adapter would seem to do the trick on the tight gap for charging.

If you wanted to charge your phone you could use one of those magnetic connectors we are one piece plugs into your phone another piece just clicks into that
It looks Good! I been expirience other Brand of Gimbal when I connect Apps to my phone and the Gimbal are heating too much not too long 15 minutes that i used, Instead to use i was scared becouse even the gimbal are off and my phone my gimbal still rotating the head😱 I decided to return in amazon .

get a 90 degree charging adapter to use with phone. the hohem app controlling the phone zoom is very nice. can the time lapses be used to move the camera like on a slider ?
Thanks for the overview tutorial. Question, in order to access the lightning port plug, couldn’t I simply turn the camera around so that the port is on the open end of the gimbal mount? Seems fairly obvious to me.

Great review!! Can we get a tutorial on the tracking and zoom features. I can get my gimbal to track 3% of the time and even when I adjusted my Zoom features ( or leave at default) the zoom feature still has a hard/ delayed start stop.
Ok I need help or I just need to return it and get a new one. I have the gimbal on the tripod, fully charged it, balanced my phone on it, hold the power button on for 3 (long) seconds, the mode light is on and solid while pressing the power button and the 4 battery lights are on, but when I let go of the power button..... nothing happens, mode light is off but the battery lights are still on and they stay off for about 10 seconds, I expected the gimbal to get into place like you showed in your video. I email them about it and they said to send a video of my problem, sent a video and now got an auto reply saying they are on Chinese New Year and won't be available until February 13th!! It's January 31st!! I need this for my media company. Great video and helpful, since most of these videos for this model are in different languages.... so keep making videos, like tips and tricks! But someone help me or just tell me to return it and get a new one. Thanks - Lauren
Lauren Nolasco u can contact on hohem tech help , they will sure help u., as i m living in china , yes i do agree they have holidays for chinese,new year in january to feb month, by the way the best mobile gimbal is osmo mobile 2 which is 115 usd in china, but dont have 360 degree rotate option, and hohem i steady is 60 usd here in china, better buy both gimbal for better video

im currently using this gimbal but the balancing is just not so good because i want to quick turn, it will not react quickly as my motion, and one more question is that how do i plug an extra mic with this gimbal ?
I'm still playing around with the gimbal, but I do feel like the I have some minor issues with it. Sometimes, I'll turn the knob right, but the phone moves left. Yes, I did think of an inverted setting, but the fact is that this only happens every now and then. My BIG issue is connecting an external mic. I use an Android phone. The mic is plugged into my phone. It is picked up perfectly fine through my phone's own default normal photo/video app. But when I use the Hohem app, I can't seem to get the microphone to work. I don't understand and cannot find any resolution anywhere for this.
I currently have the hohem gimble. The one thing I am not happy about it the toggle. When I pan up, like panning up to the top of a building, even when I let go, it pans some more (either up or down, or left or right). I find this irritation when I’m trying to show someone and I have to keep toggling back and forth to get the subject in frame. Do you know of any fumbles that will stop the pan, when you let go of the toggle?
