    We purchase a ticket that allows entry into 3 of the many attractions. HMS Victory was the 2nd visited. She was ordered in 1758, laid down in 1759, and launched in 1765. With 246 years of service as of 2024, she is the world's OLDEST naval vessel still in commission. As Admiral Horatio Nelson's flagship in the Battle of Trafalgar on October,. 21, 1805, a sniper fired a shot that mortally wounded Nelson, who died in the ship’s cockpit in the midst of battle.       Oh my, the weekend is gone. I spent Saturday flying home (smooth connections) and yesterday running around the house like a madwoman. You know how it is

      @@warrenwolf4690 Very short, welcome home as I'm off again Monday. Hurtigruten came up with a Scandinavian cruise where I had never even heard of the ports! Jumped on it.
