Wow very cool and simple idea.
Brilliant- I take my hat off to you- maybe some manufacturer will take this up!
Wow awesome!
WILL BE DOING FOUND YOU FROM COLIN FUZE
Nice
Hi Becky, Bob sent me. Very nice. When I get home from my vacation, nine more days. I will check out your channel. Very interesting what I’ve seen so far.
You are amazing. You’re the winner of my international women’s day 2019. What an amazing concept, creation and video production. Wow.
Thank you!! ♀️🙋
Got here via Bob (I Like To Make Stuff). Subscribed right away, can't wait to check out the rest of your vids!
Thank you Ethan, and welcome!
Came here from Bob's recommendation at I Like to Make Stuff. Cool stuff. Subscribed.
Thanks! Welcome!
Great video Becky! Is this easy to do if you wanted to use a latch button, and put it inside a wooden handle, to trigger the GH5 for video? I seem to remember you said that from the first foot pedal shutter tutorial video if you use a stereo jack with three poles it triggers just the video record function?
This is a very easy project. If you are in video mode then the pedal triggers recording. It's true there is a half press you can trigger too. I can't remember the specifics. See my tutorial for a circuit diagram and Tinkercad simulation.
@@BeckyStern Thanks. I'm totally new to electrical wiring. So to trigger video recording and to keep it recording, you would want a momentary self-resetting button?
Momentary switch, yes.
wow this content is amazing. so glad i came from alex's channel. I love the new york landscape with snow!
Glad you enjoy, and welcome!
Came over from Alex. Great stuff, and wonderful idea regarding the new visitor playlist :)
Welcome, and thank you!
It's I don't know what is 503 problem when I click to subscribe it shows 503 problem
is this method compatible with only GH5 Camera ?
Works with all Panasonic GH cameras, and most other brands can be made to work with a simpler circuit not involving any resistors.
@@BeckyStern thank you I need capture and focusing both functions to work with this. If I do the focusing part as well as in the Cct may I know that zoom in and zoom out both functions work with this ?
This is sooo cooool! Love it! Awsm vid Becky! Keep it up!
Awesome video👍🏽...Bob good shoutout 👊🏽
This work on Sony alpha?
I'm not an expert but I don't think those camera have a port for a wired remote at all.
This would be a great idea for video blogging! Especially if you have one for triggering auto-focus. Thanks!
If you have autofocus enabled, it does focus before triggering the shutter (or video start, depending on whether you're in photo or video mode). Basically it does everything the shutter button does.
Cool, I can imagine a separate focus pedal being useful though, you could stand in the right place and set the focus, and it wouldn't move if focus was on manual. Depends on what your needs are I guess.
omg. I also do some tabletop photos that require both hands. I would start a video recording on my camera and then go back to holding the part with both hands, let it record for 5 seconds and then I'd then take a screengrab from the footage. The foot pedal is SO much more cool and easy! Thanks!
Glad you find the idea useful!
I've been looking for this! One question...I cannot find a suitable button switch that is both momentary and allows for the half press. Any ideas?
Hm, take a look for 3-position momentary pushbuttons like this one: www.otto-controls.com/p2-3-position-momentary-action-pushbutton
Very cool and concise project!
Next version could you offset the resistors more to avoid the big lumps? Came from Alex too I love your channel!
Thank you! Yep, you could place the resistors however you like.
Awesome!! I think is really useful. Great idea.
I love this kind of easy and useful inventions :)
That circuit simulation stuff looks so cool, nice job working that into the project.
I made firewalker sneakers will be sharing it soon show en tell
Awesome project!
That's neat. Thanks.
I need to see is I can do something like this for my DSLR. I wonder if there any room in the petal case for components as well.
dang. I would’ve loved this in college.
Cool!
If you are trying to make exact resistor combos you should try this site: qsl.net/in3otd/parallr.html It will tell you the values to use in parallel or series and how close they will be to your idea value. Great little hack!
Cool, thanks Nick!
Great video. What heat gun was that?
If you have time, you should link/list the tools you use in each video.
Lastly, check out the Woodworking videos that April Wilkerson does. I think you would like.her work.
Thanks for your input. All the materials and tools are linked at the tutorial on Instructables, including the heat gun. I have been subscribed to April for some time now, thank you all the same!

Awesome project!
