No that's not how it works.. the judge is wrong because when a photographer takes photos they take way more photos than just the ones that you get. Thats how you end up with all the best ones. I got 300 photos for a set price for my wedding. But she must have shot over 600-800. She is quite able to use whatever photos that she took once I get my 300-- rather they are the copies of the photos I picked or not.

The first sign someone has a losing argument in court, is when that individual starts double talking, and spewing out information, that has nothing to do with their case (that's the action of a habitual liar; all judges know it). Trying to dance around facts, with worthless minutia to create confusion, isn't evidence.

He was spewing out so much crap I was losing track of the case itself!

He likes hearing himself talk. He thinks he's so smart and charming. Just lay out the facts Jack.

Out of 500 pictures 20 to 40 of those pictures will be useable as good pictures the others could have 1 eye open with the other eye closed.you can be cross eye. Your mouth is open since pictures in motion won’t all be good. In photography schools they will teach you to take hundreds of pictures maybe have 20 or more good pictures and the rest will have problems with them.

this judge is so close minded that it is unbearable. she should've been a mathematician instead of a lawyer, oh no, wait, that requires intelligence, no only memory. and she's giving him an A for annoying? she's an A+, a 4.0 in annoying. and that "secretary" (or whatever her tittle is) typing what they are saying, I don't know what she's laughing about, she's so dum that that's the only job she could get, typing, if she doesn't laugh at the stupidjudge's comments, she loses her job probably. As a photographer, I know exactly where he's coming from, no serious photographer gives all the copies, a photographer only gives the pictures he has edited, the process doesn't end after the pictures is taken, it end after the editing process, they are two different things. On the other hand, a serious photographer always gives their model or client a contract, 100%.

The person you call a “secretary “ is the court reporter. I know of several professional photographers who have given unedited images to clients but like everything in life it depends on the situation and photographers reasons. My wedding photographer (who was a paid professional) gave me all of the raw un edited digital images that she had taken of my wedding. It was agreed on in the contract and what she charged reflected that. I agree that there should always be a signed contract spelling out what’s expected on both sides. You never know what you could end up with during a shoot. You could get that one in a million shot that makes you famous and without a contact it could all fall apart.

@M.KathleenDougharty not even the best photographers in the world have a 100% of keepers, we're only humans. Not all of the works of an artist are perfect in their own eyes, you only get to know what the artist wants you to see, but hey, to each its own. I never, NEVER give all the raw pictures, I never deliver a pictures that has not been edited, but that's just me, and I've seen It all.
