Alhamdulillah, yes, many years ago NPR (radio) featured a piece on what scientists had discovered about crows. Allahu Akbar. They are truly fascinating. Among the many findings was that they remember human faces. So that if any human has ever attempted to harm one of them, he is remembered for his lifetime and made known to all the crows and cacophonously called out wherever he is spotted. Mashaa Allah. Many years ago, my sister and I rescued a baby crow. We fed it, nurtured it, and even taught it how to fly. When it grew up, it made friends with other crows and eventually left. But the interesting thing is, as long as I lived in that house, Ash (that's what we named it) would come back to see us. It would sit in a nearby tree next to our window and call out to us. We could always recognize its voice. Thank you for reminding me of Ash after all these years. May Allah bless you..❤❤❤

If anyone is ever in Lawrence, MA (Northeastern US), you can see one of the hugest gatherings in the country. Thousands flock to trees and old mills as the sun sets and stay at their selected spot for the night. I showed my children, "See how they love and look out for one another. Good example for humanity."
They do this in winter. Also, not a good idea to park under the roost😂

Just recently, I met up with n old friend from work. I bought bread to sit down and talk for a bit. We gave bits of food for a pigeon and a crow came down to have some. The crow was literally a feet away from us and the pigeon was a hand reached. While talking, my friend went on to grab the pigeon while the crow was watching us. And went berserk. Making a lot of noise and the pigeon flew away from my friend hand.
2 month had past whenever I go for a quick smoke, the same crow making a lots of noise. I went out to buy coffee, the same crow and a flock of crow watching and some fly over my head. So I texted my friend. He said "Crows have good memory. They remember what we did to their friends and will disturb you for life. He told me jokingly, if you could grab one and break the head would be nice." I laughed.
Today the crow and friends still making a lot of noise whenever they see me. I plan to buy some bread and do it right this time. I will make sure that I gain their trust back, help each other and protect them. The crow I met is skinny the same amongst the flocks. But I saw bigger and much fatter crow.

I can really vouch that Crows (Ravens) always brings gifts. I use to feed a small group and I am still amazed that they paid me in coins. How they knew the difference between a rusty bottle top from coins in the ground. I still have my 3 coins.

Crows and ravens are one of my favorite animals,,I like every animal and insect,,crow of my neighborhood that know me and got his house in my garden on a tree ,brought one of his killed baby crow ,so i burry it under earth,,the other was next to me and was safe so the parents know and that one i protected at night against cats ,,he is alive and fly already with parents together now ,,i care for other animals too ,also cats😅,give them some food when walk by but mostly the crow eat it

when I was 10 years old, my cat named Fifi brought back a crow that had a broken wing from being shot. My mother took care of the crow and we defended it because it had 1 scabbed leg and 1 broken wing. days my cat would sleep on top of his cage and every morning there would be a group of crows that would fly and sit on the wall near the cage and they would interact. The crow we named Mamood died after 7 years of keeping him. The saddest thing is that Fifi disappeared on the same day and may have left us because he was old and about to leave the world.
This is a touching story about the bond between your cat Fifi and the crow Mamood. It's amazing how animals can show compassion and care for each other, just like Fifi did for Mamood. The interactions between Fifi and the crows show a unique and touching connection that spanned years. Losing Fifi and Mamood on the same day must have been very hard for you. Pets often leave a lasting impact on our lives and the memories we have of them reflect a special relationship. May Allah bless you and protect you.

Then it is said they carry hunger in their wings because if they come in crowds they destroy the harvest of the farmers, eat the grains sown and thus make much damage. They are also cannibalistic and multiply in wars, hard times and times of plagues.. They increase the suffering of human beings. Prophet Muhammad (a.s. said it´s the only bird that is allowed to kill it.

What the crow can eat?
Crows are cannebalistic. They eat each other and also carcass. On battlefields or in wars during plagues they are known to first go for ( hack) the eyes of the still living, wounded humans or animals. Normally they eat corns . They are very clever and farmers feared them because they come in CROWds and eat the seeds, the grains sown. Sometimes the entire harvest got reduce dto nearly nothing so that otherr things had to be planted a new. Few generations ago crows caused much damage as they come in big numbers and then people go hungry through the next winter. Therefor it was seen as a bird of death and attracted by death.
they see what we see and we see not what they see...to understand this video alittle more it would have to be a little more specific because you go from saying crows to ravens.. although from the same family of birds ... crows are seen today eating roadkill on a daily and waiting for the next kill for their meal... they cant hunt for themselves but are definitely given a task to clean up crap... almost as a punishment especially if they understand human behavior which would mean more shame in doing what they do.... its like sinning knowingly and now you will take you punishment knowingly as well... digging deeper into the brother who killed the other and was guided by a raven to do so.... this act not only raised a garden by that kids pure soul but look what it has become today... you dig in one place you can find all sorts of species from spiders and critters to snakes and even fishes in some places... may Allah grant us guidance and lead us into better place in the next life

Nothing of this is 1400 yrs old. It is thousands of years old. The Hindu/Dharmic Pinda Danam ceremony has been ongoing in India for thousands of yrs before not just Islam but Christianity and Judaism ever existed. The Raven in considered auspicious for cremation ceremonies and is the chief invitee in essence to the Pinda Danam ceremony which is a ceremony in which departed ancestors are remembered and offered food and water primarily in the open at sunrise. Pinda Danam is observed for expressing gratitude for departed ancestors and the food "pinda" or balls are prepared as per the preference of products that ravens are attracted to and left in the open. The raven is considered a conduit from humans to the deceased through the god of death Yama. Till the raven or at least the common crow does not partake the offering the ceremony is considered incomplete.
All this 1400 yr old stuff is part cut copy paste and rebadged and part half understood interpretations of the originals.
