Honestly Estime isn’t that different coming out than Josh jacobs was… Height: 5’10”(Jacobs) 5’11”(Estime). Weight 220(both). Damn near identical hand size and arm length. Jacobs ran 4.64 at his pro day (everyone runs faster at their pro day, unless you show up hella unprepared) Estime ran 4.71 at the combine, so jacobs probably BARELY edges out Estime in straight line speed, but most likely is too close to notice a huge difference on the field. Their 10 yard splits were almost identical 1.60 (jacobs) 1.58(Estime). Estime has a better vertical and broad jump which is a testament to his explosiveness- Vertical: 35”(Jacobs) 38”(Estime) Broadjump: 9’4”(Jacobs) 10’5”(Estime). Like Jacobs, Estime compensates for his lack of straight line speed with great vision, strength and contact balance, making him effective in any scheme. Also like Jacobs, even though the 40yd dash speed wasn’t fast, there’s multiple instances of him separating and blowin past guys when he does open up. Jacobs had Quicker/better and more sudden feet in the beginning of the rush, but Estime has shown the ability to jump cut and does it with surprising efficiency in the run game. Both are hard to take down because of their ability to vary their speed, and covert the speed to power. Estime can run through defenders like Jacobs, but can just as easily hurdle multiple defenders in traffic without breaking stride. He’s also an underrated receiver like Jacobs. Jacobs proved you don’t have to be a combine superstar to go on and lead the NFL in rushing. In the right system, I believe Estime’s future could be just as bright, in the right system. This is all to say he is being Crazily Slept on, especially with what he was able to show on the field. The team drafting him is gonna get a gem!

I hadn't watched Shipley highlights he looks quicker than I would expect. Jallen Wright & Brallen Allen are huge wild cards that could end up being great they would be a scary two headed monster. Combine could help both of them I would assume Allen prolly faced a lot more stacked boxes then most being in Wisc. run 1st offense same with Corrum & Estime. I've been liking Estime a lot lately.

Could you do a scouting profile on Xavier Thomas from Clemson?
    Thank you in advance! 🙂

Respect for sticking to your convictions with Estime as RB1 although his 4.71 on a fast track today didn't help that argument. Also, maybe its just me, but listening to your breakdown of Benson felt way more critical than any of the other prospects you went over. Almost didn't even sound like you wanted to put Benson at even RB4.

@@EdgeOfPhilly Still like Estime in that late 3rd to late 4th range. I wasn't expecting him to run 4.5 flat or anything. I thought he might hit 4.62-4.65 range though. His RAS is still 8.13 (all of our picks the past 2 years were 8+ RAS like I said in the Kinchens comment) cause of his size and pretty good explosive testing numbers, so I think there is still a chance we take him.

Bro no way Estime is the top back. I could eat breakfast in the time between his first step and when he hits top speed.

Benson is my 1 his size & explosiveness is elite to me 1st step off his cuts is deadly. I feel like NFL teams are all going to wait to take Ray Davis & then he will be gone. I do like depth though so maybe they'll still get a good 1. Ray Davis seems like the most well rounded when you add what he looked like catching the ball at Senior bowl.

I think that an honorable running back that should be mentioned is the kid from New Hampshire

I will be shocked if ESTIME goes b4 the 4th round. He is a big 1 dimensional back…his 40 speed was bad. I’m not saying he won’t be a good NFL back(we never really know ) but he won’t be drafted high.

Benson, is 3 places too low. He had the most broken tackles of all the backs on this list. Ray Davis is a better back than Estime or Wright. Watch his tape he’s dancing in a phone booth making guys miss running between the tackles. I don’t have shade for Estime, but he’s lateral agility and shiftiness aren’t elite. He’s Notre Dame’s attempt find another Jerome Bettis, but his feet aren’t like the Bus.
