  • Here's a bit more neuroanatomy. Let's have a look at the midline structures of the central nervous system by looking at a midsagittal section of the head. You can see a lot of structures here and students often ask me about these things, so let's work our way though what we can see.

    Neuro anatomy is so complex but this video made it a little easier.I like how you just give a general idea of everything

    I now that neuroanatomy is not your favorite, but a video on limbic system would be such a relief 🤯

    Thanks you for teaching all of us who are trying to learn anatomy online due to the lockdowns. I would love to have those models in front of me :)

    Sam, I love your videos! I have a question for you. Why and how do people "see" light flashes at the time of concussion or before they pass out? The brain sees? Or somehow, the nerve electric sparks in the brain get reflected in the eyes? Thank you!

    Have you done a video on TMD/TMJ//Trigeminal neuralgia? I deal with these things and would love to learn all about the area. I've had my jaw dislocate, reset, all sorts of crappy things if I hyperextend my jaw or manipulate my jaw laterally. I've had my saliva gland swell up on one side, I've had facial weakness where I can't comfortably smile strong without it shaking or just overall weak. I'm doing alot better now but I went through a big phase years back of dealing with alot of this pinching, pain, cluster headaches with facial nerve pain branching across my face from my ear. It usually felt like something got stuck or pinched deep in my ear. I know a lot of people suffer from this or something similar. Be very facinated to see about all this.

    where is the diencephalon please?

    • @SamWebster
      @SamWebster  6 лет назад +5

      Between the brain stem and the rest of the forebrain. The thalamus and hypothalamus are parts of the diencephalon. The third ventricle is a space within the diencephalon.
