I don’t care what all the “expert” big name firearm instructors say about having to carry at my waist. I’ve been exclusively using a ccw fanny pack from Eberlestock for a year now. It carries everything I’d need in a purse and has a back compartment that my Macro w/optic fits perfectly in, with a kydex holster. It’s been a game changer and very easy for transitioning from work to after work. I wear it cross body and never worry about holding my gun on my waistband while peeing 😒. I’ve gotten flack for deciding to carry this way. But interestingly VERTX is heavily promoting this carry option now.
As a responsible person, there is no reason for this NOT to be an option. Is it the perfect option? No, but neither is any other method of carry. Keeping yourself away from places that would put it into a fight is the first step.
I off body carry at work daily. What I don’t like about it is the Velcro inside seems set for left handed draw. I have to switch my holsters to that to use the supplied attachment for holsters.
As a proponent of less lethal options, I carry a sling bag with my less lethal solutions in it, including launchers, pepper ball ammo, and some bandages. The nice thing about this is that it gives me options on top of lethal ones that can be easily and readily deployed. I once had a kid who looked at me and said “you look really tactical”, it all I had was the bag on me and my vest. Sometimes, it’s deterrent to look mean and ready for action. One other thing to consider, with a rise of women, seeking EDC carry options, we may see more and more options for outside body carry going forward.
I really like the low-profile looks of that thing. Nothing worse than having a carry bag that’s covered in MOLLE webbing and patches. I spied a cool sticker from OG’s Danger Show on your coffee table! Wish I could get my hands on one of those! Maybe one day I’ll be cool enough. 🤷♂️
Not a fan. Too easy to forget, lose, get stolen. This is why we teach women to NOT carry in their often & easily stolen purse. As a 2nd weapon/medical option, perhaps. But finding a bag that can hide an AR pistol, that didn't scream "gun" or was totally out of place has been a struggle.
I off carry only at the gym. I put my conceal carry in my gym bag so i dont have to be unarmed at the gym. I carry my bag with me the entire time im at the gym
This might be a bag that I’d carry in my car with the medical supplies in it and take hiking but as a way to carry a firearm no and I definitely don’t want that slung around my chest in an altercation and you’re not always going to be with someone to hand it off to someone else.
I ordered this bag and it arrived today... Its not very good sir. I'm 6'4, I rarely buy things for myself but this looked nice in your video... THE STRAP IS AWFUL!!! My neck has been rubbed raw from constantly trying to keep this inplace. IT SQEAKS CONSTANTLY every move I make sounds like an old rusty hinge... Thats not grayman, and for damn near 100$ its not acceptable! The inside of the bag has no pen holds, and since the strap is so damn slippery any little weight sends the strap sqeezing the side of the neck. its totally useless for my needs and if you're a bigger guy I'd completely avoid this bag. I feel like I got scammed... I'm going to try to return it and I've even messaged the company. I will say the actual bag part of the bag is well made, but that strap is a nightmare and ruined the product!
I wouldnt carry off body unless i keep said bag at my chest. And keep it tight. Leaving a gun in a bag that holds a firearm around the back or to the side is stupid imo. Especially when you can hold it at chest.
exactly ur not gonna be able to draw in a hurry. and u advertise to everyone that u have one because everyone is wearing one now (because everyones lazy and they dont want to deal with discomfort)
Had a female friend some years back she had gun she carried in her purse one day she left purse in car it was stolen few weeks later gun was recovered after dude that stole it used it to car jack then shoot a single mom of three kids
why would she leave the bag in her car. smh its already a desired item, why put a gun in it? the robber hit the jack pot (until he got caught). we need to start looking at guns as if they were our children. would u leave ur child in a car un attended? no. would u leave ur child in an area where they can be abducted easily? no. exactly.
They actually have 2 other colors. I also don’t see black as a tactical color. Every backpack I’ve ever had since I was a kid was black. I think it depends on what you wear it with. Any color looks tactical with a camo jacket and tactically branded hats or shirts. Pair this with standard clothes or even casual dress clothes and it looks professional and modern.
it dosent matter. everyone wears one now. u see some fat a** walking around with a Gucci bag half the size of his t*t u better belive he has one. it no longer matters, everyone familiar with guns knows ur carrying in that stupid bag. including the possible would be robbers. thats what happens when everyone does it. thank you 2020

if ur concerned about drawing ur firearm, then the answer is avoid the bag and keep the holster. its a lot faster than the bag. but. the other thing u should be concerned of is that every man in America is now wearing a man bag for this purpose. that means that anyone who is familiar with guns and sees u carrying one means that they probably know ur packing heat. including the would be robbers. so if u wanna reduce ur sillouette figuratively speaking, I would recommend the holster over the bag any day. discomfort over losing the element of surprise.

Someone needs to tell the bag manufacturers not to make them look so tactical. Blue, green, etc instead of black.
Maxpedition has been doing a lot of low vis carry bags. I have been using one for three years and everyone just sees a grey heather backpack.
