What’s the movie Save the Last Dance about?
Discover the story of Sara Johnson (Julia Stiles) whose life is turned upside down the day she has to move to a troubled district of Chicago after the tragic death of her mom in a car accident. She arrives in her new school in an entirely different kind of neighbourhood than the one she used to live in and must now learn to adapt to the place’s culture. Ex-ballerina student, Sara now has to learn hip hop in order to fit in. Luckily, she’ll receive help from Derek (Sean Patrick Thomas), a talented and smart young boy from her school and his sister Chenille (Kerry Washington). Derek and Sara will gradually fall in love but their difference of skin color and social background won’t be well accepted by their peers, requiring them to stay strong and brave in the face of adversity.

What I love is that Sara never mentioned what Chenille said to her because she doesn’t want to ruin Derek’s relationship with her. That’s true love
The thing that didn’t make any sense to me was Nikki’s and Chenille’s misguided mindset in this movie about Sara being a white woman and “taking” one of the good black men in Derek. Never once in this entire movie did Sara ever make a move on Derek. Like literally he was pursuing her THE ENTIRE FILM!!!!!!!!! So every time they mentioned Sara was like in the wrong I was thinking to myself “WTF are they talking about?!?”
Yes. Chenille was just upset about her situation so she took it out on Sara. And Nikki was just jealous. She wanted Derek back and he wanted Sara.
Yep it’s Nikki’s fault for not seeing & appreciating Derek’s value, so Sara did what she failed to do. & chenille should’ve practiced marrying before carrying 🤰🏾you gotta vet a man out before letting him put a baby in you.

Derek was really mad at Sarah because he was talking about her Mom and he apologized to her and said he was sorry for what he said to her and he packed his stuff and took off I hate to see him so angry and upset that's what makes it even worse I can't believe it that is absolutely terrible
