2years later and I just found this truck. Most come with bent bumpers, yet the fix is simple, flip the front bumper retainer to chassis. The shock setups don't full travel due to the fixed links, needs adjustables or fab up some longer ones. The truck is way faster than any vid I found stock. You gotta tweak the throttle range to get it maxed out. Diffs need the grease big time. Overall this is a very fast and capable truck that is also fun to bash right out of the box. A few tweaks and this is an amazing machine for the price. Cheers!

Great entry car, thks for the review. Brushed motors benefit from a load-free run-in. Back in the 60's(!) we used to run-in our Mabuchi 26D slot car motors under water for half an hour at about half throttle. These days I use circuit board cleaner. Just submerge the motor and run a couple of packs at half throttle. Good for a few more km/hr, I'm guessing. Thanks again for your channel!

I love PXTOYS cars.. I have the Piranha and had the Desert Journey and they are great. Just like on this truck, you don't often see oil filled shocks, full ball bearings and a 540 sized motor at under $80. I can't wait until mine arrives because I've never owned a 1/10th scale PXTOYS. The Piranha is 1/12th.

I have a GP Toys that is amazingly quiet with practically no gear noise.
This looks like a pretty good choice and it’s handling really well.
A dab of hot glue will helps the lights out.

If you were to upgrade to brushless motor would you also need to change the ESC ?
Yes, you would need a brushless ESC and also a receiver plus a 3 wire steering servo to go with the brushless motor

Both great trucks, but for the much lower price at only $67US for this one with the coupon code I've shared, this pxtoys one is much better value as its all metal geared, larger 540 motor and has oil filled shocks already Chris. Cheers for watching mate and be safe over there in the East!
