Thanks for making this! It helped a lot!
Prima gemacht ,Mädel,s ! Danke ,Bauitsch
excellent tips, thank you
Thank you very much for your great work!!
We love what we do :)
super cool!
Amazing!
Quick tip for repeating the sequence continuously: "Shit+E" in the Timeline -> "Make Cyclic". You will have it with one click instead of doing the useless graph editor stuff.
Great video tho !
I will try this! Thank you
9:10 is the troubleshooting part
Would be helpful if you please do a tutorial on water jet spray using flip fluids/Mantaflow.
they do that in this video
@@michaelwaxter9622 no they don't... they use Flip. Manta flow is a diff. solver
Will it ever be possible for this addon to not generate poles? Poles make fine fluid look almost spiky when trying to make it smooth.
We cannot guarantee that our addon will work in the way you are talking about in the future. However, we are doing our best to make it better and more feature rich!
Thank you for this video. I would like to ask you about the falling cube from the stairs, when I bake the rigid body cube falling simulation, then bake the fluid simulation inside the cube, the fluid will stay at its position, not falling with the cube. How can I fix this issue? It seems that you did it successfully in this video.
Hi! Make sure, that the rigid body simulation is baked. And also enable the „export animated mesh“ checkbox in the object‘s settings. If this does not help, please send your blend to our email address ;)
@@FLIPFluids thank you bro
I guess the main issue I've been running into is that fluids don't stick to an object very well. I have a mug full of fluid and when the mug moves, the fluid just flies out. I tried adjusting the viscosity (set it to 2.5) to see if that might help and the issue still occured
The only things you can try is to increase the obstacle‘s friction- and for some scenes using sheeting can help for some effects. You could take a look to our slime assets.
I love the way you explain things, you are very good at it. I have a question: I bought the addon and play around for learning. I have a domain and an inflow object (UV Sphere). I parented the inflow-object (UV Sphere) to a bone. The inflow object correctly moves with the bone, but it's emitting static. It looks like the liquid is not even emitted from the UV Sphere anymore, it doesn't move with it. So I searched a bit and found the option "export animated mesh" within the inflow object. But when I activate this option and bake again there's nothing to bake. Nothing happens, there's no liquid emitting anymore.
So do you know how I could approach this to get it working? I love the addon so far.
Export animated mesh on your inflow should work. Would it be possible to send us you blend file to our support mail adress?
Thank you for your kind words- really appreciate it.
@@FLIPFluids Thanks for your reply ;-) I will play around a bit more and will mail you if I don't find a solution myself. Have a nice weekend!
EDIT: Last question just to clarify: If i use the option "export animated mesh" I don't have to do anything else, right? It will do this itself?
can you help me ? fluids ignoring my obstacle when it has no thickness. How can I fix it without using solidify?
It is not possible to simulate an obstacle without thickness.
But you can add solidify for the simulation and after this you disable it for rendering.
help please, im trying to fill a cup with inflow. but it keep decreasing. and idea what happen ?
There could be different reasons for this. Is the cup "watertight"? Try a lower CPL number (advanced settings). And use sheeting (world settings). Let me know if that helps.
I was wondering about using changing displacement modifier on a volume force, I did as such, but the mesh of the volume force did not have any changing field lines and the changes in the fluid did not reflect the changing mesh of the volume force.
Ah, it seemed I had to click "Export Animated Mesh" in the physics tab of the object to use the changing mesh.
Yep that’s right. Export Animated Mesh is required.
I've experienced objects with ample size, and high res domain settings, not emitting fluid nor colliding. Much smaller non imported geometry do emitt fluid and collide in the same domain.. Normal appear to be ok. remeshing doesn't change a thing. Any ideas on fixing this?
Please, request support per email and send us your blend file to let us find out. All information on our homepage flipfluids.com
Hi! Whenever I try to bake.. An error- "Python: Traceback (most recent call last)' always comes..Can you please help?
Make sure you are using our latest addon version. If this does not help please send a support email.
Hey, I came accross an issue when obstacle which is parented to an animated empty is totally ignored by fluid. Problem disappears when I animate object itself - but in the scene I am making this is not an option because of attached constraints. How to workaround this. Thanks!
Hi! Did you enable „export animated mesh“ for the patented object? That should help.
can someone please tell me how you would change the settings to how much liquid comes out ? aswell as the boundary box in vanilla, where it just goes out instaeed of filling the domain? Im trying to make a river but i cant figure it out, all videos seems to be about the same thing :( i tried using a box for outflow, but it didnt seemt o work to avoid it fillin the box, since i onl want it to stay in the river)
If you like, you could share your blend-file with us and we will take a look into you settings ;)
Why am i not seeing any particles at all. I upped resolution and baked. Nada. Using Blender 2.93. What am I missing?
Maybe they are disabled for your viewport? Or did you forget to enable whiewater before baking? You could also send your blend-file to us.
Hey I have a problem, I would want to doanload experimental built but I don't know how to do it, because on your website it says that it's on blender market, but I can't find in here either... So can you help me plz😅?
Just checked this. When you are logged in into your market account the experimental build can be downloaded (as long as you purchased the addon). There is no other way to get an experimental build.
Fluids going through obstacles need more coverage...
It the same issue as with non emitting fluid - you need a thicker obstacle or finer simulation grid. Debugging helps you in finding out. Please watch the 10 Tips video - it explains exact this.
Hi, I'm using Blender 2.92 and 2.93 and Flip Fluids version 1.0.9 and I get the following error message when I hit the bake button-
AttributeError: type object 'array.array' has no attribute 'tostring'
I am clueless as to what's wrong and how to fix it. Please help.
Hello! The best way for us to help you is if you would send your blend-file to us. Also a screenshot of your user preferences with the addon selected would be great. Send it to support(AT)flipfluids(.)com
I am getting the same error! Did you get the fix yet?
I am facing a problem. I'm parenting the Inflow with a moving Obstacle, but the fluid come out of the Inflow Object doesn't follow the Obstacle. How can I fix this?
I think you need to enable „export animated mesh“. Let me know if this does help.
@@FLIPFluids I haven't enabled that and the "Add Object Velocity", so I enable both of them and it's worked. Thank you!
I have the addon paid and installedm but "Flip Fluid demo" had just show back up ? Can someone help? Thanks :)
Deinstall the addon, make sure all files has been removed from the addon´s folder. And then make a fresh installation. That should work.
After adjusting CFL I’m still losing a ton of fluid volume. I’m trying to create a bottle with fluid in it. It works for a second and then starts to drain out. There’s got to be a fix for this!
This sounds more like a problem with thin obstacles than the volume loss issue.
Try to use thicker bottle for simulation and render with thin bottle 😉
@@FLIPFluids I‘be tried both a thin bottle and solid bottle. They’re both draining out. I added a volume force field using an icosphere and that has helped a little. But it’s still not perfect. Unfortunately, the bottle has to be moving with liquid sloshing around.
setting my object to inverse makes it so fluid isnt baking
Did you solve this issue? Otherwise you could request help via email
GOD DAMN IT WHY IS MY BLENDER THE ONLY ONE WHERE ALL FLUID SIMULATORS ARE UNSTABLE
If you have any issue feel free to send us a support email - we will be happy to help
the biggest issue is the fact that the fluid don't touch any surface.....
it says there is baked frames (nearly 18,000) but when i go to try to render it the fucking frames are not there
there is NO fluid simulation
i am PISSED .. if it is simulating I EXPECT TO SEE THE RESULTS
Hi Ponlets we are sorry to read you having issues with using our addon.
Would you please send your blend file and Some system information to us?
Read the guidelines for customer support on our homepage.
@@FLIPFluids well i mostly managed to figure it out but ended up not using FLIP Fluids in my recent animation because it took too long to do 17,300 frames (roughly 24 hours)
i have an issue
i spent 5 FUCKING DAYS simulating AND NONE OF IT IS VISIBLE
WHY WONT IT FUCKING SHOW UP IN VIEWPORT OR RENDER
