I really would like to own a game table like this. Love the padded inlay...getting cards off a hard-top can be a pain, and it endangers the 'health' of the cards as well. This sort of table would be a dream. Thank you Ryan for the info on this more affordable option for gaming tables.
Bought one a few months ago. Love it but I would recommend the topper. It has no seems and is more beefy so no sag. Good surface for dexterity type flick games also. It took about two months from my first inquiry email to getting my table. Excellent quality. Not as many options as it competitor but I like the simplicity and GC didn't offer a topper.
Holy Cow! They start at $1400. If you want drawers add $150. If you want walnut or cherry wood add $500. If you want an inset top add $270.Shipping $200. Over $2000 total. Looks great, but I think I will stick with my dinning room table, works fine, same size and way cheaper. Good luck to Board Game Tables they do nice work. I will spend my hard earned money for buying more board games, way more fun.
Does your dining table have a second level that can be covered? What's that? No it doesn't. Ohhhhhh. Some of us like to set up a game in advance. Eat dinner first and then bam. The game is ready. Also you can leave a game in progress and cover it up and not have anything disturb the game and still be able to use it as a table. Great when there are lots of fiddly bits involved. Also things don't roll off or fall of the edge of the table with that recessed floor and the walls surrounding the game.. You just don't get it.
I'm having a house built and will finally have a dedicated game room. Of course that means my first major decision was where to go for a game table. I looked at Geek Chic, Board Game Tables, and Hammered Game Tables. Geek Chic is so nice, but the cost + wait was just too much for me. I ended up going for TWO Board Game Tables. The cost of two tables was less than one Geek Chic table, and the delivery estimate is around two months, which is perfect since my home construction will have just been completed. Thanks for the review, it helps to reaffirm my purchase, as if I wasn't excited enough.
Looks nice. I looked at their coffee table size, and the price was better than geek chic ( even after adding very expensive options.) But the geek chic had some features the board game table people didn't have.
A high quality table with an inset and speed cloth and the overlay is a nice thing to have. But it's a luxury IMO. I have a nice poker table with inset surface, and to be honest I just play on board games on top of the topper :)
Nice table! How hard would it be to make a cube of wood that matches the table finish and supports the center of the table cover? Maybe even make the cube look like a large d6.
Nice review. Looks better than it does on their website. But unlike GeekChic not suitable for many miniature games because of the size. Good value though.
harpdevil I've helped assemble them and it's super easy. The legs have three dowels protruding from them that slide into holes in the underside of the table. Once the legs are slid on, you simply tighten a bolt into the leg (again the hardware the bolt threads into has already been installed and the bolt is provided) that secures it to the table. So, if you can tighten 4 bolts, you can assemble this table!

David Williams I love a little chuckle in my day. :)

In the interest of disclosure what kind of discount did you get for making this review?

Rick Koeppen That's got to be a good feeling. I hope to have a dedicated game room some day.
***** I am loving them! I have a review video on my channel.
This was great. I've been interested in looking into a board game table but its good to get a review on one. Thx.

Audio is good. Information is good. the Camera shake and bear feet killed it for me. :/
It's a table

I have never seen robot feet before...thank you for that.

+Dan Limbach i think it might mark the center of the table, imo not worth it

Tell me more about the legs. How do they work?

04:07 "if you want to look at the legs here". Which legs? :)
Maybe he means feet?
Hi would you mind telling me the size of your table please ?
dude. wear some shoes.
DukensteinA1 LOL, I didn't even notice until you mentioned it. Now, it's all I can see!
DukensteinA1 Wear shoes in your home? You're lucky he is wearing pants cos who the hell wears pants at home.
Jeremiah Dillard not with shoes on! Also, you try buying 28 length pants at a normal store. Finally, what does any of this have to do with the table?
Never! Or sometimes... But not when you tell me to
Jeremiah Dillard He's sagging his pants like a gangsta
