      I only have experience with the LTD Viper baritone and the PRS SE Mushok and both are super solid, especially for the price. The only downside IMO was the PRS has a relatively round 10" radius that I didn't gel with on a baritone guitar. With the radius, scale length and thick strings it was just an odd feel. Sounded and played damn good otherwise, though. The Viper's only downside was that it was neck heavy so I moved the strap button to the top of the horn and that sorted it out. The headstock is a big oof for me lol. The rest of the guitar is pretty sick. But he said that the pickups are proprietary. I've never heard of a guitar that had proprietary pick ups. Whats up with that

    • @Malediction99
      @Malediction99 3 года назад +2

      I'd wager that way more guitars are sold with proprietary pickups than without. All Fender and Gibson models have Fender and Gibson pickups. Same for Suhr, Musicman, Mayones. Even brands which do use third party pickups (e.g. DiMarzio and Seymour Duncan) like Ibanez still sell plenty of guitars with homebrand pickups (like the Ibanez Quantums). What Chapman are doing is literally what almost every other large guitar brand does.

      I've heard of pickups that have to have a guitar modified to accommodate the pick up. Connections and shit no, but the screws that go into the body or pup rings yes

    After Rob showed his true colors, I will never support him ever again. Mind you I bought a Chapman ML-1 from the second Korean batch years ago.

      @@rayfabris2512 About 2ish years ago a lad made a video sharing some of his concerns and criticism on things Rob had done in the past. Instead of addressing it like an adult or taking some constructive feedback, Rob instead gaslights the dude, calling him a shitty guitar player and saying he doesnt know what he was talking about. Mind you directing his fans to spam the dude. Once the backlash got so bad Rob released a video, which made him even look more like a prick. Rob lost about 10 thousand subscribers and then after being ratio'd to hell in several vids, he did like a half-arse apology.
      I had been subbed to Rob since he was still a guitar teacher 12+ years ago and after that I had to unfollow. Since then his channel doesnt get the same amount of views as it used to get , and his distancing from andertons made it even more prevalent . I hope that answers your question, but of course I would encourage anyone to do thier own research and make up their own opinions :)

    I admit it sounds damn nice and that roasted neck is pretty, but I have never gotten over that ugly-ass headstock. Only Starcaster's shoe headstock is uglier than that abomination IMO xd Not necessarily a deal breaker, but a big minus nonetheless. It's unfortunate that most Chapman guitars got that one, because I really like their Ghost frets's heastock.
