Your channel has grown a lot, congrats!
It's a great chess channel
Heyy chessdawg.....your explanation of each games are amazing and also understandable....🙌🏻✨
Can you use Evaluation bar in the coming videos......🙂
7:33 -- nah... precisely *_Qh4_* is *_THE_** most* precise move, because after like 7-8 moves of optimal play, White is left with Queen + 6 pawns against Black's rook, bishop and only 3 pawns.
Whereas your scenario here, which Tal played, _Bxf7_ is *CLEARLY* less advantageous for White. (altho, ofc, he still WINS).
.
according to stockfish Bxf7 leads to m14 and is top choice of it
Weird to see Petrosian just crushed like that. Generally he's the magician on the board
These 2 Titans of Chess played 44 times. Petrosian won 5, Tal won 4, with 35 draws. Always a Heavyweight fight.
Very well explained game. Not too deep, main lines are instructive and clear
The gameplay made it seem like Petrosian was a chump. Got destroyed without being able to make any good moves but reacting constantly. oh well...
Very much like yourself, I guess, I’m very, very impressed with Tal’s play, but, in order to learn more, could you also go into the games Tal played against Korchnoi? Korchnoi was the only player who usually knew how to beat Tal…. So, what do you think?
The great Petrosian was rarely caught like this.
I can proudly say that I saw the knight sacrifice immediately.
Probably why you're a gm. Blow your own trumpet mich 😂
ok.... that thumbnail... thanks. Now I'm going to have nightmares tonight! hahahah Did someone hit Tal in the mouth with a baseball bat or what? Or that plastic surgery to enhance his lips went horribly wrong! hehehehe okay...let me try to FOCUS and watch this game.....
Decided to change the thumbnail since it was freaking people out, lol.
@@chessdawg I didn't see the thumbnail
Where did you get it from pls
@@chessdawg Like.... what even was that? It was like his lips were ballooned up or something but he looked like he was blowing air ... I don't know!!! That's the freaky part cuz I couldn't figure out what was going on! hehe
@@ZDTF just a google image search. Tal is just making a strange facial expression.
@@chessdawg what did You search
Tal and Petrosian meeting each other?
Like any game , you win and you loose some . That’s why chess champions are determined by more than one game.
Excellent review Chessdawg!
8:03 - I wondered if black could move the queen to g8 (instead of the bishop to f5), but then the knight goes to f7 (check) and the queen must sacrifice herself.
Looks like The Unstoppable Force Defeated the Immovable Object
The more I learn about Tal, the more he becomes my favorite player! Awesome video, glad I found your channel!
Dang! I was really cheering for black on this one 😂
Gg
What was the advantage of not taking the pawn at 4:40? Was he hoping white would play something else?
Never an easy task to destroy Petrosian.
But Tal makes it look like it is a walk in the park.
Tal was a monster. This loss must have crushed Petrosians spirit.
Do you happen to know their win/loss ratio vs each other?
Tal was a beast... thx for the vid
7:31 why not take with queen instead of bishop? That would have given another defender to that bishop sacrifice idea of Tal's then maybe that could have staved off mate. ?
Then Qh4, and the rook at f8 can't move and mate at h7 is coming.
@@Johnnyballgameus I guess you're right. at that point, maybe it's curtains for Petrosian.
Time for Botvinnik.
Dowg ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
What a kind gift. Thank you very much for your support of the channel!
…dear O dear O dear…!
Always enjoyable; I couldn’t decide whose side I was on - both GMs are favourites.
I love watching these top tier games. Very interesting. Plus, it's helped my own chess lately, even though I am only an amateur.
Thank you for this beautiful game, a very detailed analysis of Tal's magic. Superb!
you have a great channel and you show great games without wasting time ❤
Mr. John you are really amazing because you choose really valuable games.
The Most Agressive Player Of All Time Vs The Best Defensive Player Of All Time
Tal's Title Is debatable but petrosian's isn't
You haven't seen him play if You think he's not the best at defending
Stockfish and Other Bots aren't Included
Most aggressive was Nezhmetdinov
@@mitchelllevine5664 Debatable
@@ZDTF IIRC from Lev Alburt’s Chess Openings for Black, computer analysis actually ranked him higher than Tal with respect to aggression specifically
@@mitchelllevine5664 That's why I said debatable
You might be correct
Might be wrong
Nobody knows
Amazing. So simple. Beautiful
A very instructive game for us amateurs.
thank you sir excellent analysis
What's wrong with Tal's face !!
I changed the thumbnail, Tal was just making a strange expression in the original image.
Love your vids. No hype, just solid analysis that even a duffer like me can follow.
