Liking your approach to the design, just been turning a little over a year and I can see that when I started I didn’t give enough consideration to how the foot interacts with the rim, now I’m more proficient at mounting and the problem resolved
I can't thank you enough. I learn every time I watch you work and I feel It's very generous of you to share your knowledge. I'll be a better turner next time I pick up my gouge.
Great series. I learned so much and not just generally speaking, you helped me notice the details also. I really do enjoy the way you teach, instruct and guide as you go. Thank you. I am looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks, Jimmy, for showing me how to use that three digit price tag name brand scraper I've had for years, that so far had only been chippy and frustrating. (R.S. assumes you know how their tools work)
this a nice bowl, but my question is?its so easy to turn on a lathe if you can sharpen tools ,I've 35 years in joinery and never used a lathe and bought a lathe thinking it would advance my craft but there's more skill in cutting square with a tenon saw
Beautiful work. Did I miss something? Was any sanding done on this lovely burl? Should have waited until Part 4 where Jimmy said yes some sanding was done. My guess is that not much sanding was required.
