He masks it as a random quirky thing, but at this point he's actively trying to make Conan cry real tears. To me this video felt very creepy on several levels.

I think this would be a great exercise for drama students but, without the box. Get two students to stand as close face to face with a person they know the least and make them talk or make funny sounds. It desensitizes them from awkwardness so, they can take their acting more seriously without being conscious about themselves or afraid of the other person.
