The number of English village churches with their pipe organs, once the most important buildings in the villages, have sadly lost that status for too many reasons to mention here. The service Ben is doing by bringing these priceless places of our English heritage to the public's attention, both at home and abroad, is also priceless.
You are definitely fulfilling a love for country church organs in all of us!! Thank you for all your hard work, energy and efforts in bringing these jewels to light, most of which we would never see!!🌺
I will certainly miss your videos during this time! Have a lovely peaceful & refreshing break. I hope you enjoy the much needed time and space away. (What does one do for relaxation & time away other than visit more churches/ countryside 😹). Thank you for giving so much…your films have meant so much.
Thank you Ben. Your folding caravan is an awesomely excellent design. Windows views all around, efficient kitchen, and yes, the all important loo. And no worries if you need to take some time off in your church and organ video productions.
Wonderful to hear about Ben’s caravan's journey from Melton Constable. Here lived the famous Civil War Royalist commander, Sir Jacob Astley, who famously said before the Battle of Newbury: Lord! Thou knowest how busy I must be this day; I may forget Thee, but do Thou not forget me. There are 600 churches in Norfolk, many with fine organs.
This is brillant news. If you would like some info on some Suffolk organs. some of the less well known ones off the tourist routes Let me know. . Of special interest is Dr Charles Steggals Chamber organ now at the remote Battisford Church. built 1862 possibly JC Bishop . It is unusual two manual of Choir & an enclosed Great/swell. Very unusual pipe scaling & construction of wood pipes. Another rare one is at the tiny village of Kettlebaston (anglo catholic outpost ) It is a TC Lewis Lieblich Organ. No electricity it is hand & foot blown. It is the only known example of a tiny organ by TC Lewis still remaining. TC Lewis has a good size three manual in another tiny Village of Gt Wenham. superb instrument in every way. Also in the area is the tiny estate village of Darmsden. Onlya Smith American Organ. But the Church in countryside more like Switzerland is in regular use but no longer a C of E but they still have Cof E services. this one is open 24 hours a day every day. Then there is a superb two manual Father Willis model organ in the very large Dennington Church put into an ancient case. By Bishop & Son. If you would like the Charles Steggal chamber organ specification I can let you have it. There are many other intersting organs & almost all Suffolk Churches will give you a very warm welcome.
Spreading your wings and off on your adventures. Excellent. Have a rest and a breather, and I can imagine all the plans you are making. Great times ahead! God speed.
Ben if anyone deserves a holiday that person is you Have a good break and we'll look forward all the more when you do come back Nice caravan by the way 😊
In the 1970/80s i bought a Slipstream caravan a much more basic version of yours (and no toilet). I had a few great trips with it . Work and other things got in the way and i sold it. Happy days! enjoy your new toy. Best from Duncan, S Africa.
Ben, I think you will enjoy a little holiday in your new caravan. It will be most useful when you get back to more Church visits, and don't forget to winkle out the stately homes, and colleges, some of which have their own chapels and pipe organs. Blenheim Palace has a "Willis" organ, and it is I believe in good condition, and playable. Wouldn't that make a nice diversion??
Thank you Ben for 1 yr of enjoying your videos i wish you every happiness in your new journey in your caravan and looking forward to seeing your new journey you will be giving us take care and yes you do need a break 😊 god bless you till we see you again and the wonderful churches you take us to and the lovely organs you play ❤
Congratulations on your 1st Anniversary! Enjoy your break and we look forward to your return with a renewed excitement. Safe travels in your new caravan.
Great Caravan Ben...I'm sure you'll have many happy hours traveling around in it & it will make your life on the road SO much easier. You certainly deserve a rest/vacation at this time....we'll be here when you're back up & running on YT again. Blessings to you as you travel around....be safe & enjoy!
Hi Ben, your blue gas cylinder contains Butane gas, which will not work below freezing, so no tea on a frosty morning. The solution is to switch to a red propane cylinder, which will serve you all year around. You will most likely need to change the regulator too though, so check with the manufacturer. It looks great, good luck.
Well done Ben👍A very practical purchase,, and a lovely little home on wheels for you. Enjoy the pleasure of refocusing and cosy times in your sweet caravan.
Sounds really really good Ben.Looks neat too when in use. Look forward to more of your trips in the future. Will be able to go further afield. Enjoy your break from filming and get rested. 🥰🥰🤗🤗💕💕🦘🦘
Oh Ben, big congratulations to you on this purchase!! I can’t believe how well that caravan works! How it folds down and the ability to tow it. Wow! I’m so impressed! I’m SO GLAD you aren’t going to stop your wonderful videos. It’s as much a treat for me as confirmed nature lover as it is for me a real classical music lover. I love seeing the GORGEOUS British countryside so very much! It is so uplifting in this awful world we inhabit. Much love to you and your hard work !💖🌿🌱🌲
That is awesome Ben. As the caravan came from Norfolk you should come and stay up this way. Some of the best churches in the country are in Norfolk and Suffolk with some very impressive pipe organs too!
What you have achieved over the last 12 months is utterly amazing. I love watching your films, which are filled with loads of beautiful scenery, history and music. If I was 40 years younger I would buy a caravan similar to yours. My wife and I do however own a ‘model T’ beach hut in Hove seafront. The built in toilet has been immensely useful 🤣 It’s important that you take regular breaks and holidays. Sadly too many RUclips creators become exhausted, or burnt out. Wishing you a fun filled, relaxing, holiday.
Glad you’ve got your new folding caravan which will enable you to go further afield. Please come to East Sussex where there are many interesting churches and organs
According to Google, the Diocese of Salisbury stretches for 2,000 miles from north Wiltshire to the Jurassic Coast and includes Jersey and Guernsey. It might be a while before he runs out of churches.
God speed and enjoy some time away from filming. I’m so happy for your acquiring the caravan and I know it will be very useful. Looking forward to when you return to posting.
These road trips are absolutely fabulous ! So well done and yes you deserve a vacation ! I have 3 church organs in my home and one is under restoration. Seeing these organs in little country churches is a treat to eye and ear! This will give me an opportunity to catch up on previous postings ! 😘
I've been a fan since the beginning, Ben, and I applaud your decision which will enable you to rove further afield in search of obscure and often unloved churches and organs. Will its power enable you to post-process your videos in the field, or will you still have to return home to do that? Solar addition, perhaps?? Anyway, God bless you, young man, and I join your many other fans in waiting with bated breath for the next adventure!
Welcome to the world of camping (or caravanning)! I have a very small camper van (RoadTrek) that has changed my way of working also. Love it! Bless you and safe travels.
Congratulations on your recent acquisition of the RV/Mobile home Ben. I remember the very first time I saw a Caravan/RV park in the U.K, I just starting the Coast-to-Coast hike from St. Bees, and had to pass through this very large caravan park, and I must say that unlike their counterparts in the U.S, it was very tasteful, almost quaint! Well, with that said let me wish you a "Happy Camper."
Nice to hear you and that everything is ok. Rather cosy caravan and fits for the purpose. I pray that you will find innovation and to have celestial guidance for your future work too, these videos are so great. Greetings from Finland. ♥️🇬🇧🇫🇮
Ben...have organ, will travel! Our local college has a massive organ in the performing arts center...laugh, come visit us in the States. Love your channel. Take care, Ben.
Congratulations!! All the best with your new caravan!! What a great way to travel to new and exciting destinations. Where is your pump organ?? Safe travels!! 🎹 🎼 🎶 looking forward to your next video 🤗
From one organist to another ! Your videos are fantastic, a breath of fresh air. Enjoy your well earned break and we can't wait to hear you on the other side . Superb Channel indeed ! 4:544:54
Another great addition to the channel. Glad you have it and are sorting it out. Very much like a small yacht. I'm sure you will enjoy it. Looks like you are ready to add bedding, cookware, food/water and be ready for an adventure. Will patiently wait for your next steps.
Ben Can’t believe it’s been a year. Always a pleasure watching and listening to you . Look after yourself and safe travels in your caravan . Blessings from Scotland 🙏
Good luck and may God keep you safe in your travels with the caravan. Thanks for your work, Ben.
Ben, you deserve this. We are all behind you and your next steps. Be BLESSED ALL HERE!
Much deserved. The future is bright. My church organist is now watching you.
Congratulations Mr Maton! Brilliant!! Well done!! 🎉

The service Ben is doing by bringing these priceless places of our English heritage to the public's attention, both at home and abroad, is also priceless.
You're doing more for the Church then the archbishop!. God bless you.
I wish you a wonderful, relaxed vacation! Well earned!!
You are definitely fulfilling a love for country church organs in all of us!! Thank you for all your hard work, energy and efforts in bringing these jewels to light, most of which we would never see!!🌺

Thank you for giving so much…your films have meant so much.
I love your camping trailer! Maybe you can spend a week at the beach and film a nearby church! 👍
Thank you Ben. Your folding caravan is an awesomely excellent design.
Windows views all around, efficient kitchen, and yes, the all important loo.
And no worries if you need to take some time off in your church and organ video productions.
Looks like the makings of an excellent adventure! Wish you well on your travels.🥹

It's always exciting to look back and see the caravan being pulled along by the car when first moving away ❤
Less exciting if it wasn't there when you pull away lol! Happy adventures, you'll be fine!
