When I learned how to draw guys a few months ago, I forgot how to draw girls.
It's ok if you post every two weeks, imma need that male upper body tutorial tho

Now that's relatable. Around a year ago, I wanted to work on my boy drawing skills so I made the mistake of only drawing boys and not drawing girls. Now my boys have improved a lot, but I suck at drawing girls
SAME. I used to be a be able to draw female anatomy really well but absolutely sucked at male anatomy. I wanted to be able to draw my favourite husbando’s so I decided to study male anatomy exclusively. I’ve improved a lot on my dude drawing skills but I literally cannot draw a woman for the life of me D:
every since I learned how to draw guys I don’t think I’ve actually fully drawn a girl since (besides my friends OCS)
i felt this lmaoo. after i used to only draw heads and faces, after i learnt to draw bodies, i completely forgot how to draw faces and heads on bodies.

I’ve seen so many ppl who love drawing girls and don’t draw guys, funnily enough it’s the complete opposite for me😂🤣 Haikyuu was one of my main drawing sources so I only drew guys🤔 now I can’t draw girls😂😂 Honestly respect for whomever can draw girls y’all are amazing🤩😂
I 100% relate to this! Drawing males is easier for me than females, I think I have a hard time drawing the hour glass figure, than a square-ish one.

I finally finished art school and today is the first day I’ve drawn in my sketchbook and been happy, I missed making art for fun. So thank you for allowing me to sketch with you

all of the people I draw just look vaguely masc but sometimes vaguely feminine so I just have sketch books full of androgynous people and my art style is super flowy figure wise so it's just wispy nb people that always end up looking vaguely mystical lmao, realism who's she?
Beautiful as always!! I have a question tho! How did you learn your anatomy and how to draw bodies? I can never find a good tutorial that I understand.
Take a life drawing class and if you can't look it up on the internet. I need to learn how to draw bodies to.

Honestly tutorials probably won't be your best bet when learning how to draw anatomy and bodies. Anatomy is pretty complicated and one tutorial could never cover it all fully, so I recommend doing studies instead. I mostly learned by drawing from reference and analyzing how other artists I like draw and proportion bodies.
I find it easiest to draw from refs when you break up the body into simple shapes, focus on the proportions, and then add the details/style in. Gesture drawings that focus on the flow of a pose with minimal detail are also great!
I hope this was a decent response xD I recommend videos from ModernDayJames as well! He has really great anatomy tips!

You dont have to do this, but since you've been talking about practicing writing then maybe you could do some writing sessions? U know like when you dont have any drawing ideas and want to put out some content!
Great art btw! I used to draw girls all the time but now I mostly just draw men lmao I need to get that skill back
for the camera mount thinggy, i use this thing called a tripod boom arm and it cost me £25 and i can attach it to my tripod and use with my dslr. you do need to use something like sandbags to keep the tripod stable so that it doesn't topple when you're doing overhead footage but it's really good

Every artist friend I have tells me that they always pick drawing a girl over a guy, or they say that guys are too hard to draw. I don't understand ;-; I myself am a w0manz, but I have no idea how to draw feminine characters! I don't understand how the curves work or how to draw softer and/or smaller features. I have drawn masculine characters for as long as I can remember, and it's always been easier.
I also think 50% of my large collection of characters is just soft boys with sweaters, 45% is rugged angry men, and the last 5% is brown-haired-brown-eyed female antagonists lol.
You are by far my favorite RUclipsr. You have such a cool art style and aesthetic and even your voice is super soothing. I also know a bunch of art RUclipsrs who are way too perfect. Everything they make looks good and none of their mistakes are in the final cut. Watching your channel feels way more human, thank you for that.

A good tip when you wanna practis writing is acculy to read books and see how other people wright and take inspo of that, and just find words you want to use in youre stories. Also just wright what feels right to you, dont be scared of what other people will think abute your text.
The issue with that is that I wanna make comics xD I could definitely do that for learning writing structure and dialogue but I know I should probably just read more comics lol
I've been struggling creating art lately as social media has made me hate it, but your videos always help me realise how I need to draw what's fun and not what people expect! That didn't really make sense but thank you! :)

Idk if it’s just me but I prefer drawing guys over girls. Its not a very strong preference but I’ve seen some ppl saying they like drawing hair and pretty clothes - you know you...can draw guys with long hair and pretty clothes if you want? Like, you can draw muscular and tough looking women too? I think art can become a lot more fun when you branch out from just drawing cute pretty girls all the time
I mean I like drawing what's most fun and ladies are most fun for me to draw :3
I have plenty of male characters that I draw pretty often too. When I first started drawing people I only drew guys and then kinda overcorrected when I began practicing drawing girls xD Now I'm trying to polish up my dudes a bit more but I think I'm pretty decent at both
I think everyone should just draw what makes them happy and if ppl wanna draw pretty girls and nothing else I say go for it ✨

That’s really funny bc i used to only draw girls when i was younger than overcorrected in the opposite way as you and mostly drew guys 😅 but i draw a pretty even mix now

my most recent struggle that I have noticed is that I really find it hard to draw without a reference. i have to be really motivated in order to draw without a reference 😔
I feel u😔 I have the same struggle but tbh sometimes I just doodle something on paper and when I look at my finished peace and messy doodle, I like the doodle a lot better bcuz I had fun with it. And it’s totally fine to draw with a reference, every artist uses a reference sometimes :)

The biggest challenge and hardest ever: drawing males.
Because women are just way more interesting and pretty to draw, all my friends and me never DARED to touch on drawing males. It's like impossibly hard and not rewarding. But then we have them pretty muscles and moves, but females can also have them so... Ig drawing males isnt that bad. Maybe.
As a girl, drawing boys is hard for me..I'm not used drawing they're anatomy and I often erase alot drawinging boys,thats why I actually give up drawinging them...I love how you draw them tho, inspired me to take practice👍
Something I've learned: You gotta watch out when you delve into the waters of drawing a different gender cause I used to draw girls all the time and now my sketchbook and tablet is just FILLED with men, you can only draw one or the other sometimes-
It's hard to find a balance, those who have a good balance of drawing men and women and maybe some people in between, *I envy you-*

Ironically enough I *struggle* when drawing female characters. I'm not sure why, but drawing male characters is so much more easier for me

I think the whole pressure to have gorgeous sketchbooks stops people from using them. your sketchbook is meant to be used whichever/whatever way you want, it doesn't have to be a wonderful pretty thing, if that is your thing then great, but its also ok if it looks like it was run over by a train or a pot of paint fall on it
